Hello

I'm getting myself ready for tomorrow EEEeeee!!!!!

I have a couple of questions (I'm an MMO rookie so sorry if these questions seems basic)

What AddOns will you all be using?

What client is best with ESO? (I used Cursed Client for WOW)

Thank you

I'm not planning on using any, except maybe for hunting skyshards later on in the game. I would like to create one that limits a person's wayshrine travel options, though. Mostly for roleplayers.

Sure, one could simply chose not to use certain ones. But it's deeply rooted in human psychology to want the easier options, thus making more difficult or tedious options feel like a chore. When the easier options are removed, it no longer feels like a chore.

I'll have to learn LUA, but I'm familiar with general programming anyway so it shouldn't be an issue.

For addons, I probably won't be using any either for the most part. I'll maybe have something that tells me my DPS for certain attacks and turn it on like once every other week and then turn it back off after I get some numbers.

I use Foundry Tactical Combat (revised version), shows combat text, numbered resource pools and enemy health meter. Also displays active affects an enemy is under (certain limitations, I think it only applies to affects you apply, and is based on base timers so it's not 100% accurate, but still pretty helpful). Additionally it has a small XP bar to more easily track level progression.

I also use Multi-Quest Tracker, Mount Feed Timer (just because those timers take so long, I forget about it very quickly), LootDrop which shows what you have looted (very helpful with auto-loot turned on), and Inventory Item Borders which adds a colored border to equipped gear to specify quality, as well as displays item health when it drops below 30%. I might get the Craft Research Timer later once my crafting really starts getting somewhere for the same reason as the mount feed timer.

As far as clients, I just put the add-ons directly into the game files. Incredibly easy to do, and don't really see the need to use a manager for it.

I will not be using any at first, but I may use one once I level up a bit. I looked into Foundry Tactical Combat, and it seems they have a nice product and an enthusiastic developer doing it (i.e., the developer is a player and will be using it himself).

I actually ditched the multi-quest tracker. It is nice, but a little too buggy for my taste. might see if they update it later and check it out again.

Did go ahead and add in the Craft Research Timer (most excellent choice), as well as Inventory Grid View.
