We can easily conclude that our poll of 253 is of without statistical errors, and should be concluded as if the poll is already taken of root, when less than 50% of this forums members have voted. Also, if that 253 is the final figure, I don't think this game would last a month.

Find me an poll that does the same with higher numbers and I'll believe something. I recall doing a poll in high school, it had ninehundredsomething answers, and suddenly, 78% of Finland smoked cigarettes and drank alcohol more than once a week. And oh, no one liked hotels.

Well, some people need to sacrifice themselves and NOT play their favourite races (moi, Dunmer), but sadly, people don't want to sacrifice much for good taste these days. Hmpf.

Not really, at least for now. The polls tell absolutely nothing as of now. Good example is Planetside, the game was supposed to have over 60% population of NC, but when you take the average percentages of all the servers, the populations are pretty much 33% per faction.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Stop trying to pretend that EP/Nords won't be overpopulated because the poll isn't statistically significant data; over 300 people is pretty significant to get an idea of what it will be like, but you're saying that's not the case (and are [conveniently] a Nord).

This kind of argument can be found everywhere, had it been Altmers that were as many as the Nords then people would be nagging about that, people always hate on the biggest, largest or the most ''mainstream''.

I know that I'm going to have at least one alt in the other factions too, but I voted for what I'm making my main as. I think other Nords will do the same.

You guys really shouldn't worry about faction population for a few reasons, among several others: (and before Sordak the forum cop comes in here -- this is my opinion)

1. Its way too early: Things will change in the months leading up to beta and the release. You need not think that current numbers will be the norm.

2. Just because a faction has 1238127 players does not mean that all of them will choose to PvP. The game will likely attract players of all types and preferences, so you could find yourself in a situation where half the population chooses to strictly PvE and half chooses to PvP.

Since it is a 3 faction system, if one faction is dominating, logically the other two lesser factions would team up against the larger faction. I'm not saying that will happen right away, but if the Ebonheart Pact was clearly dominating the war, then the DFC & AD would eventually have to agree to some sort of temporary military alliance to allow themselves to counter the EP. A war on two fronts will be hard for any faction to remain dominant for long.

Assuming they don't get around 49%-53%+, then yes, this would be the case, but around 48-49%, it would be nearly impossible for the other two factions to compete against one faction, since it's impossible to force everyone on a faction to hold a peace with another faction, and difficult to coordinate attacks with 2 factions, as compared to 1.
