The game is said to be optimized to run with 5 year old computers, so I except them to be relatively low.

Looks like my comp will be running it medium with relative ease. I run Skyrim with low setting but high advanced.

Shaun,

They have said that people will be able to run the game as long as their pc was built in the last 4 years. They go even further to say, most laptops will be able to run the game BUT they do note that those users will have to run on minimum graphic settings and other tune downs. However, I think all of the regular gamers understand what this means...

Just because you can "run it", doesn't mean you should.

If my game is choppy, slow, architectural anomalies, or locks due to lag occasionally....THIS is NOT running the game hahaha....

None the less, I built my GF and I new PC's about 6 months ago. So we should be fine and gtg.

I do remember seeing that theyre looking for systems that have graphics cards capable of 3D rendering, for beta. I guess you can kinda take from that what you wish. Just figured Id toss that out there.

Oh and don't forget it's going to be able to be run on Mac too. Good news for the Mac fans out there.

Yayy. I have a mid 2012 MBP. Should be able to run this on relatively good settings

Since some console players will be switching to their first computer to play TESO, I think it is good and fair that the system requirements be low to moderate. I also hope there will be a range of settings.

TESO - - Multiplayer: "M'aiq does not know this word. You wish others to help you in your quest? Coward! If you must, search for the Argonian Im-Leet, or perhaps the big Nord, Rolf the Uber. They will certainly wish to join you." M'aiq the Liar.

Personally, I'll bet the graphics requirements will be near-identical to Skyrim, with slightly better settings for 'ultra'. The minimum requirements for Skyrim do look to be what an entry level gaming setup would have been about 5 years ago.

In other words, I think Shauns expectations are pretty close to my own. The only big difference is that I think the game might actually end up being DX9 compatible as there is no DX10 for XP. I know that might sound stupid, but about 1 in every 4 computers out there is still using XP, and yes...some of those people are obstinate gamers. (No offense to any whom are reading this Smiling)

I think the minimum would be something like this:

Core 2 duo 1,8Ghz
2Gb Memory
256MB/512Mb video - 3D acceleration
15 Gb Hard-drive space.

I think the video requirements will be somewhere in between Lizzio's and Shaun's expectations. I think Shaun's reccomended choices are real close but I think the required will be a touch lower in terms of video at least. And yes, I do believe it will be playable with XP. Glassweaver is correct. MANY computers out there are still XP, including a lot of heavy gamers yet.

I'd have to say that this comment takes the thread, we have evidence that they are planning to let older PC's run this game.

Just because you can "run it", doesn't mean you should.

I laugh my ass off if they cannot bring this game to the lap top users and provide us a functioning experience. Good example is Planetside 2, which my 2 year old baby rocks with medium graphics @ 40 FPS (Although it naturally doesn't as good as a good PC using medium graphics, but still). These days beautiful graphics =/= hardware requirements, as if you can get something as stunning as Forgelight to run at above console ggaming FPS, you should get a game that's supposed to support 200 guys on screen to run a game smoothly.
