My favourite

Will you be able to gather titles or achievements? For example, can you get them for the completion of a long quest or for solving of every quest in a certain zone (similar to the Thane title in ES V)? – By Wiborg

You’ll be able to gain achievements for many things in the game, including for completing large quest chains or by finishing every quest in a zone. As for titles, they’re something that we’re still considering. We understand the value and appeal of titles, but if we use them, we want to make sure they’re displayed in a way that is immersive and consistent with our game. Rest assured, though, we want to make sure there are ways to show off your accomplishments in the game, such as through visual advancement with gear, abilities, and by other mechanisms.

... I was afraid of "ProudSpenderOf15EurInCashShop" titles, they not just ditched those but simultaneously look for ways to make player achievements shine where it matters, on character. Sounds awesome

Some interresting things there:

Guild Stores: i didnt even know they existed and i still dont quite get the point. Guild Banks are kind of a thing that existed before and so are auction houses and player shops. a shop just for guild members? Im not sure what exactly the point is there. Either you sell something or you give it away. Or is it meant that the Guilds sell their stuff to strangers? That would make sense to me, but they dont explain it properly.

Shadowscales: Oh boy, they are in, i didnt expect it. I think this could go either way. If they are done right they could potentialy turn out quite good. If not, and by that i mean if they are just the Dark Brotherhood of blackmarsh that could undermine the mystery surrounding them.
Definitly good that they acknowledge more of the Province specific stuff tho.

Titles: we know they exist from leaks already. I was quite fond of them myself in Everquest but here im not sure. Having titles like Thane would be kinda dumb UNLESS they are tied to a PvP rank. Means that only the 10 top ranked players of an alliance could call themselves "Lord" or something. That would be kind of sweet. But kind of a waste considering that not many people will go there.
Any title that seems like only a few people have, given to a large majority is realy a bit bad. Having stuff like "giantslayer" tho. i can see that working. Or the titles you get from the Stormcloaks in skyrim. stuff like that may very well work.

Dethroning Emperors: thats interresting too, so from what ive gathered you are dethroned not after you loose the keeps that you need to become emperor, you also have to die / zone out / whatever.
Thats cool, i like that. It kind of gives you a brief oportunity as the Emperor to reclaim your Throne and has this nice "Two Kings" vibe to it.

I hope they get a huge ass crown. The Chim-El-Adabel wont work for obvious reasons.

The guild stores are basically guild auction houses, its the way ZOS implement decentralized market into the game, similar to the one EVE has. Its in place to avoid GW2 game-wide auction fail

I already had hard time trying to explain that to people who started QQ "im scared of new things give me my WoW auction"

I am a bit uneasy about the decentralized auction house, but i hope it works out for the better

Considering the Megaserver you kind of *have* to have some mechanism like this in place. Otherwise this would realy spin out of proportion REALY fast.

Do you think they'd add an option for a last name? I'm not sure if that fits the lore, or not.

With the huge size of the one mega-server, just one player auction house would be too unwieldy and out of the question.

Aren't Thane and Athane "king & queen" in Kudzul, dwarven tongue? But that is also used for Nords isn't it? Funny that stout shortest and stout tallest mountain races share terminology. Never thought of that before. Separate Titles for different Races would be cool - like Sera for Dunmer; Dar, Do, Dro for Khajiit; etc.

Concerning last name Sordak answered this and I think it is mandatory due the huge amount of players there will be and mmorpg's always want one unique name per character. But will there be some option to "hide" that last name for Races that traditionally use one name? Or will we just use titles like "M'aiq the Liar?"

TESO - - Multiplayer: "M'aiq does not know this word. You wish others to help you in your quest? Coward! If you must, search for the Argonian Im-Leet, or perhaps the big Nord, Rolf the Uber. They will certainly wish to join you." M'aiq the Liar.

"Va Khaj Dar - Khajiity's united? M'aiq will join!" M'aiq the Liar

Oh I didn't hear that the mandate had been changed. I'm sure races like Argonians and some Khajiit will be pleased. I've played my TES characters so long in mmorpg games that they all do have last names.

But that'd be good for the people who don't want one.

I had heard that they had taken surnames out completely. Glad to see that I was misinformed there. (this one wants his last nameHappy)

Yes I was really excited for surnames. If they didn't require it and it was completely optional I'd be on board for that. Just sort of add more customization and more naming variables.
