Faction & Race:
Aldmeri Dominion (Khajiit)
Greetings fellow Aldmeri Dominion friends(and other friends)!

We need to get the creative juices flowing and positive thoughts about how the Dominion is going to Dominate the face of the Tamriel continent. I hope you will contribute and be a part of rallying the troops.

We are a bit behind the leading faction in terms of popularity. This we need to adress. The fact is that we are a very strong faction when we look at each race. The Altmer are very powerful in magic. Actually the best pure mages in Tamriel. The Bosmer are the best arvhers . Last but not least the Khajiit are very good with daggers and blades in general. In addition both the Bosmer and Khajiit are very stealthy races. All three races can adapt quickly to a new strategy and hopefully the Dominion can surprise our enemies by doing unexpected tactical decisions.

Let’s look at a couple of examples -

First the open battlefield: The Altmer have a great resource in magic. Ranged magic attacks. The Bosmer have their supreme archers. If we in addition to this also got our hands on some trebouches, imagine what damage we could make in the initial stages of a siege over a fort. If the Khajiit could use their sword abilities in the first line of defence this couold make up a possible setup. Of course the Altmer can use swords, the Bosmer magic and the Khajiit bows so it’s endless other possiblities. We don’t know yet about how the conjuring and animal companions will work so it could be endless possibilities in battle.

Going through the backdoor: We don’t know much about the stealthy approach in PvP. IF this was an option, the Aldmeri Dominion is pretty much unmatched at this. Imagine using sneak, illusion, archery and daggers when taking over a fort. All three races have stealth running through their blood.

Well, fellow companions. This thread should be packed with possible tactical and strategical ways to put the Aldmeri Dominion at the top of the foodchain. Let’s hear about your character and which skills you want to develop. Let’s hear about how you will set up a siege, how you will use the strengths of each race to come out victorious. How can each race complement eachother? Talk about everything related to the Aldmeri Dominion really. Keep it civil, but don’t be afraid to talk about the controversial topics, like the “race-topic” in the Dominion.

But the remember, this is mostly a positive boost thread!

Have fun!

(Edit: The poll has limited options. I would have loved to have more choices but thats not possible I'm afraid)

I think all factions have own weakness and skills to fight, how tactic as mouse + keyboard, no lag...

But teamwork as groups, is value to build as armies...

Right leadership, officers to command...more more :) But please do not write a lot, spies love to read here ;)

Edit: As well unlock classes and perks.

wait.. thats how the forum operates? Im sorry i just had to laugh a bit at the clunkyness of that system. brilliant.

on topic: mixed unit tactics is where its at. However the more i learn about the game i feel that the kahjiit are strangeley gravitating towards a warrior archetype within the dominion, wasting quite a bit of potential.

mechanic wise id say all the factions will be even. the fact that there are no stats in the game are one more indication of that. probably for the better. The Dominion wouldnt realy have any races suited for close quarters, and the Covenant no thief class (well the breton could count, but compared to bosmer, kahjiit and argonians they pale quite a bit)

It's actually clunkyness on my end rather than the forum software itself. I removed the ability to add a different subject line for individual posts (as it's fairly meaningless). This will be fixed in an update, however.

I would love to take over an entire fort using stealth. Or just dodging through the trenches slitting throats here and shooting arrows in the heads of enemies while dodging through the barrage of magic fire raining down from my Altmer palls.

About the siege weapons, we cant get too reckless with them. After all, we will need to rebuild our fort after its taken and defend it from other attackers, not destroy it completely. When attacking, focus the boulders, ballistas, fireballs, whatever we will be shooting, on mabey one or two spots on the forts wall(which most forts will indeed have walls) on its opposite sides, so that the defenders will be spread out on both sides and be forced to defend with low numbers. If the attacking team knows what they are doing, this could turn out really well for us.

If the AD is to be stealth-heavy, why not scout the battle map and when the other two factions are at it, we will have a stealthy picknick and finish the survivor of the other two factions off easily.

I think DC and EP can play good as stealth too, but maybe AD is the best.

But i also thinking: Eagle is AD faction logo. Otherwise: DC = lion. EP = Dragon.

if you guys know. we have an advantage over other alliance. according to the vote. we got many range classes. all we do is using the guerrilla style warfare simultaneously all over Cyrodiil (of course with a good communication). creating confusion to the enemy army. and we can attack our main objective.
typically if we move our army. the enemy will attack us very hard with brute forces. but with this strategy we create confusion by attacking the rear surprisingly. and doing the main objective in the other side

if you vietnam war. you will know this kind of strategy

Bosmer Archer, know strategy, and master of surprises.

Well, it finds MANY way of strategies, still hard to check how players will listen "officers" or trust them to do right way.

I am sure many "offensive" battles will fall in first step, since many do same spirit as "barbarians" to show brave to attack and quicker to lose. Later we will learn and become better over time... We don't know how all players will do same in mind.

Surprise attack would be great, but hard to keep the secret plan before we begin ready to attack. Spies everywhere no matter.

If a guild deal with members and follow orders + Many login guildmembers + allied players to follow, maybe win...
