Daggerfall Covenant (Breton)
If you are playing as the Breton master race as your main, why do you want to?
I personally love the look of Bretons and I love half-elf races in games so they just stuck out to me. My favourite skill in The Elder Scrolls is conjuration, so with that being what Bretons are best at they stuck out even more as being awesome.

Well when the names and general info was released on the alliances, I knew right away I didn't want to get stuck with a bunch of elves and khajiit so there goes the dominion, so then I was left with the covenant or the pact, (this is before I knew the numbers) I love the dunmer and argonians are my favorite beast race, but then I read about the alliances and realized that the covenant was the only one that wanted what was best!

The pact are, nomad tribals, religious racist slavers, and barbarians.
Where the covenant has the Redguards and Bretons and Orcs, all honorable races who want a return of the empire, peace and prosperity.

So which of these races was I going to pick? Well I didn't want to look like a Orc (no offence to my Orc brothers) and giant mountains are more interesting than desert, plus I think Bretons would suit me more, so I picked Bretons! There clever, magical, and sophisticated.

To me Bretons are mages in heavy armor. I played in all ES games a breton in a way simmilar to D&D Clerics, but little bit more offensive on the spell-casting side. Conjuration, alteration, enchanting and restoration combined with plate mail, mace and shield. Additionaly there is this magic resist/absorb ability, which makes Bretons durable beyond belief.

as ive mentioned befor. the bretons have not had a single outstanding remark in history, never had a particulary great mage or hero.
they never acomplished anything culturally. and are generaly the worst human race in terms of acomplishments.
also they are short.

XD well lets not forget "small details" as Redguards and Bretons tryed to wipe out orcs several times in history, and at this alliance orcs were "force" into the alliance, there is still so much more dirth you miss XD.

Personally in all TES game's so far i played as Breton, and had alt Dunmer, but i don't like desert, and love Morrowind, and since we cent leave our faction area i decided this time to make Dunmer main and Breton alt, not to mention i love how Ebonheart Pact unites to overcome there common threat.

They're short? Awww... I didn't know that. That doesn't really make sense. Descended from High Elves and Nords...and they are short?

Meh, whatever. I'm sure this has been discussed somewhere on the net. Time to google it up.

I just looked myself since you suggested it, then I got sidetracked and read they are good cooks. ^^

Short and good cooks! Now I'm considering Bretons as well since that mirrors me.

Breton
I'm playing Breton because
1) They are overlooked
2) Mages (my general playstyle)
3) Humans
4) Descendants of elven-kind
5) Most like people of today.
6) Want equality for all races.

I plan on going breton for my alt, no real reason I just don't want to be a Redguard and I want to stay in the covenant.

Why is everyone saying Bretons believe in equality. They live in a feudal system! The whole point of it is that it is not equal!

Bretons will likely be the best healers in game based off racial stats.
