No idea what people have been complaining about. My first three hours have been amazing. This looks and feels like an elder scrolls game. It has the right feel and look. Graphics are very good it looks fantastic I think.

Maybe because I'm used to other elder scrolls games as well as fps type games the first person view and combat hasn't felt odd. Actually quite normal and intuitive.

The quests I've done so far have been varried and interesting to do. Thought has gone into them. I'm pleased I haven't had a kill X number of creatures quest so far.

The only bug I've encountered was the game kicking me out to the login screen without warning. But it only happened once and it eventually let me log back in.

Definitely worth the £40 I paid for it and it'll probably be worth the subscription.

People complain about things in general because it makes them feel sophisticated and discerning.

I'm having a lot of fun playing TESO. That's what matters. For those who are not having fun: there's no right or wrong here. You like something or you don't. You have the right to your opinion. But for God's sake, move on.

The logoff thing is a bug, think they're fixing it now. It did me three times. Then it went down for server maintenance

People would complain if they were hung with a new rope. I ignore them. It's not for everyone, TES never has been.

It's just right for me. I'm thoroughly enjoying it. It hasn't filled the empty hole Morrowind left in my heart, but it will do.

Thanks for the Post. I have been playing Elder Scrolls since the first Dagger Fall in 95 or was it 94. I had played three betas and Now early access.... my sentiment is still the same as yours. I am impressed by it all.
The only thing I can ask for is a PC Mod for an Improved Hud. I want a Hud with more Hotkey slots....about ten instead of 5 would be perfect.

I really like the game so far.

I think their female character are absolutely fantastic :p
The quests are really well made and you're really into it when you talk to NPCs. Very few kill x mobs quests and that's nice too.
You can find quests everywhere when travelling around, they make sure you don't miss them.
I like the combats very much. There is a dynamic, each action is decided by the player.
There are some bugs, some are frustrationg, but they will fix this. It is always the case at the begginning of games.
Graphics, waow.
Craft is easy-to-understand and interesting.
I can finally visit those Tamriel places I've heard of :)

I agree completely with your statement. I play 3rd day in row now (have the week off also), and I am just level 15. And still, half Auridon is there to be explored. Countless hours spent just crossing the land exploring, looking nice vistas, and just doing "nothing".

I do not care when I will hit level 50, just wan to have fun, and in this game that matters. :)

Funny bit, had some pretty cool random encounters, many of made me laugh.
Especially the one with the Khajiit which asks you for money because the bandits took them. (no further spoilers).

- There is no character customization thanks to the stupid softcaps being way too low
- The EU megaserver is in Texas (For real)
- The whole "claim keeps for your guild" was a PR move. Extremely bothersome.
- At least in the last beta build, I still played with tab-targetting, which was ten times more efficient than actually attempting to aim at anything (Because the target system kept firing at the people I did not intend to, because 5 meters to any direction counts as a target acquired)
- Asking 30 euros for a race that in the current metagame is the optimal one is a freaking rip off, no, a robbery

The above are pretty much my reasons I currently will not purchase the game, I tried it on my friends account now that its "out". And nope, nothing has changes since I last made my decision.

I'm loving the game so far. I'm actually the exact opposite of most people in that I hate the third person view.

I also forget that I'm leveling. I just love finding new places as I wander around the map.

Same. This may be my favorite TES game to date! (played since Daggerfall) It took a few weeks to warm up to the HUD and art style but I absolutely love this game. The smoothest MMO early access experience I've ever had personally. The quests are fantastic, very intriguing and fun for the most part.

At first glance I can see why people just starting out would panic. The feel of the game is something mmo players might have to get used to. At level 8 I really started to see how brilliant the game was and the potential of how much fun it was going to be. There were a couple moments last night when I really felt like I was back playing skyrim. It took me an hour to kill a boss "Gut-Ripper" last night, my gear was shredded and my character was probably slightly a level short for the boss but I had so much fun fighting and could have played this boss (at level 7) for hours trying to beat it--I did finally beat it by kiting the hell out of it and learning I had to stay in range or it would OOC--I can only imagine later level play.

As far as mmo's, I would say this is the most imersive one I have played in a while. I still play GW2 as well, and while the combat in Gw2 is hard to beat, it just isn't as FUN as i've been having with this seemingly clunky minimal UI.

Yeah I agree. I love this game so much despite my satellite lag issues:
Can't block well, have to anticipate blow and block 1.5sec early. Can't dodge blows/abilities cause when I see them starting they are less than a sec to firing, and my response takes another second to get to the server - meaning by the time I see something to dodge it is too late! This makes some battles you guys just dodge a lot in brutally hard for me, I die a dozen times before I get though.

That said, the game is so good I still love it. I am hard set determined to get though it, and develop a great powerful char; and eventually even try PvP (I might be good at healing or defensive tanking). I'm currently Aelenshaard AD Templar Altmer Lv9.8. Having an easier time of it than I was the last two times (but still die a lot right now fighting Lv8 NPCs). FYI.

Skyrim conquerer. Morrowind and Oblivion vet. Long-time single-player computer gamer W/custom-made hi-perf OCd PC. Mostly RTS and a few action games.
Noob to MMOs.
Crappy satellite Internet very laggy pings 700-1000 not god for gaming, can't play most online games but ESO works good enough.
