You shouldn't, but almost all .executable files wouldn't work (64->32 bit). Not to mention why on earth would you want XP? Post your system specs first, so we'll know if its even a wise choice.

Also most of the programs will function incorrectly, so I strongly do not recommend you of performing such action.

I agree downgrading your OS would be pointless, because if you want to upgrade to a new one in the future it wont allow you to beacuse you may be skipping a few OS to get to the one you want, i had this problem with my computer going from XP to Win 7 it wouldnt allow me because i didnt have Win Vista and in the end i had to format the hardrive and then it would allow me. What i am trying to say is dont do it because if you do you may regret it in the long run.

You can run multiple versions of windows on one computer. You'd just need a partition to install XP onto and then choose from the bootloader which one to load.

I think installing XP after 7 did work out better than the other way around, but I am not entirely sure. You may run into the trouble of not being able to access the other system disk and if you have more than two Windows, it could be you'd have to reboot to 7 everytime you want to load the other.

At least this happened to me, when I was running 7, 8 and XP and I could access XP only after rebooting from 7 and not from 8 and could not access 8 from XP. But it did work.

What exactly are you missing from your OS that you are looking to change. Just asking as there's no big difference between the 7s performance wise, you'll just get more features. Depending on your needs, it can be worth the hassle and extra cost. But if it's just for gaming, reg 7 is the best ya can get right now. (from MS)
