A Community Of People, Not Players
HTTP://WWW.CCGUILD.CA

Many guilds call themselves "Hardcore" and how awesome they are, but nevergive any details on how they achieve such goals. Below you is our explanation of how we achieve all of our goals.

About Us
Clarion Call is a mature guild brought together by a group of people with similar intents. We have a long history within the World of Warcraft, where we started out as a social guild that evolved into a End Game content guild. We moved into Star Wars: The Old Republic where we played on Kathol Rift, and were among the top10 of all 16man Hardmode Progression Guilds. While protecting a far away galaxy, we recruited some amazing people who have joined Clarion Call and moved back to World of Warcraft and are awaiting the release of Elder Scrolls Online.

We believe in a community of People, not Players. A team when broken down to its core is about comradery; then you blend well with your team, you have faith in their abilities, and you're no longer worrying about their role, you can focus more on yours.

- We are a PvX guild.

- We are not a zerg guild. We are a team-base guild

- Teamwork is crucial for success, but we expect our members to pull their weight. We do not spoon-feed people. Our goal is to build a tight-knit community with a high level of performance.

- Providing both PvP and PvE in our guild allows us offer a variety of content and knowledge to our community. We expect our members to support both gaming styles.

- Server/World Firsts and Rankings do not make a guild, we are a very competive guild and do try to achieve those goals, but they are the perks for us. Clarion Call is a guild of diverse people and every member has the right to be in an environment that does not make them feel uncomfortable. Our Officers do their best to weed out those who wish to toy with this line.

- We do not follow the Survival of the Fittest mentality, forming cliques, or allowing "elitist" to degrade other members. All goals can be achieved with the right amount of teamwork and constructive criticism.

Social Atmosphere
Its not uncommon to have people discussing their day in mumble, having the entire guild in one channel just shooting the breeze. We are a very energetic and some have a twisted sense of humour. Officers and members
blend well and we do not pull rank unless required. Headsets are recommended as we are not a PG-Rated guild, there is profanity spoken as well as some crude humour.

Utilizing The Website
Members should check the website frequently. There are forums for everything, game discussions, events, and other announcements. Important information will be posted on there and/or sent via PM. Keeping up to date on guild / game activities will make your experience more enjoyable.

Mumble
All members are required to own a mic/headset, and download our voice program. 99% of all communication takes place verbally. Not only does this contribute to the efficiency and success of our guild, but it affects the
overall enjoyment of the gaming experience.
Download Mumble: http://www.mumble.com/

Semi-Mandatory Attendance
We do not force people to be online at certain times no matter how important an event is. Real life always comes first. However, we do expect you to be in Mumble and ready to participate in the events you signed up for.

Guild Events
Every now and then we like to mix it up and do something "outside of the box" to get away from the traditional grind and repetition of the games we play . In the past we have held duel tournaments, hide-and-seek, video
contests, and a guild favourite is our Battle Royals. The winner of any event always receives some type of prize..

Inactivity
We understand that some players are more casual than others, but there still has to be a line. Therefore, any member who has not logged in for 30 consecutive days, and has not posted in the R&R Section of the forums, will
be kicked. Members who are removed for inactivity and decide to come back should contact an officer of the guild. Understand that inactive players are only removed from the in-game roster. Only disciplinary actions will result in a guild member losing their access to the website and Mumble.

Zero Tolerance Clause
It is important to respect one another. Remember that new players are always joining, and some have different levels of experience than others. Take a moment to collect your thoughts before you criticize someone, or make a joke. Know where the "line" is!

So what can be covered by this "Zero Tolerance" clause? (but not limited to)
1) Racism
2) Constant Degrading
3) Annoyances & Immaturity
4) Trolling (we all like to have fun, just know where the line is)
5) Drama & Cliques
6) Inappropriate Behavior: In-Game, Mumble, Forums (includes 3rd party
forums where you can be recognized as a Clarion Call Member)
7) Harrassment

How should we react when someone is being disrespectful?
Warn them. Tell him that "Hey that is not tolerated here", and also tell him what the repercussions will be. The latter is very important, and all members should know what will happen if these lines are crossed.

Deal with problems in a mature way, and keep it contained to prevent excessive drama. Go to an officer for help if the issue can't be solved alone.

Have an issue with someone in the guild?
As it was stated above, we would like issues to be handled with as little drama as possible. However, we realize that there are some people who may be hard to approach, or things get out of hand. We ask that you please contact an officer immediately. Either pull an officer aside in Mumble, or send them a PM on the website. Names and Issues are held confidential at all times.

Application Process
We interview applicants before a decision is made. Our Mumble information will be sent to you via a PM on the forums. Please monitor your application post on the forums as Officers tend to have added questions for the
applicant be it game related or "get to know you" questions. We invite people based on how they answer the questions in the application, and the questions that follow by an Officer. There will be a review period after the invite to the guild is sent, where you will be watched by all Officers to monitor your behaviours within the guild and with other members. After we feel you're a good fit you will be promoted to Member. No one has of yet has been removed from the guild during the review period.

If at any time the officers feel that the player is not fit for the guild, they will be asked to leave.

How to Apply
- Visit our website. HTTP://WWW.CCGUILD.CA
- Fill out an application with a valid email address.
- Check your application post frequently.

Thank you, with the game not being released for a bit. We're going to be actively recruiting and inviting people to join us in Mumble to get to know the rest of the guild.

We're an extremely social guild and want to make sure everyone enjoys their time playing the game with Clarion Call.

Sounds very interesting, I might apply, if I consider myself to have enough time for a guild. However, what time-zone are you based from? Or is the guild just so big that it doesn't matter because there are always people on?

A lot us are within the EST time zone.

But my goal to have CC big enough that time zones don't matter. We used to be that back in the hayday of WoW. but with new games releasing that we did not branch into and RL we've become an incredibly solid group of friends about 30-35 people in size.

Clarion Call is an interesting beast, if you become a part of our community, and you fit it in we hope everyone does, you'll find yourself not logging in for the game anymore but logging into to friends.

I personally don't enjoy World of Warcraft any more, but we still have a community over that raids, and I log in there frequently just to spend time with them.

I hope you do Apply.

With the game being so far off, I'm opening our mumble server up to anyone who is interested to help them get to know us, and for us to get to know them. And when ESO launches we'll have such a solid community that no task in the game will be unreachable.

I have opened up our mumble to the public until the game is released, to assist in getting to know people and to let anyone who is interested in becoming a member the ability to see how to interact with everyone.

Sounds like a well organized and fun guild. I enjoy playing with more mature players that are fun as well. Ill probably apply sometime in the future.

Do you think they will have guild access in any BETA they hold?

I would hope they do, not just to help us build communities but to allow us to help make sure that all guild features are polished and bug free.

I'm a member of this Community, and let me just say that's it's really awesome. We play a multitude of games from WOW, SWTOR, GW2, We are in BETA for Planetside 2, and even play for FPS from time to time.

We strive to stay drama free, and to make the community so it's comfortable for everyone, regardless of where they are from, or what their play styles are for gaming.

I usually have more fun with the people in this community than I do with the people I know who live around me.

We would enjoy having more members join our ranks. We want to share our community with anyone who is willing.
