About (IC):
We are a guild of Magic users which welcomes any race and all types of magic. We have a sister branch in the guild, The Knights of Magnus, who are the arm of our guild. We desire to leave the limitations of Mundus as Magnus has. To achieve this, we must first help our Queen accomplish her goals so that the rule of the Elven kind can usher in a better world that will help us to accomplish our goals. To this end, we will engage in battles within our borders (PvE) and and those in Cyrodiil (PvP) to claim the throne, as well as forming a close bond with our fellow mages/knights.

About (OOC):
This is a guild of RPers. We plan to do everything the game offers and, I hope, to grow the guild into a close knit community. The guild is structured in a way that everyone can find a niche. There are plenty of leadership roles in every area of the guild. Those who enjoy crafting can be a part of our Craftsmen division or if you enjoy PvP join our Army.

Beliefs:
Magnus is the Architect, who drew up the plans for Mundus.
Some of the et'Ada gave parts of themselves entirely to the creation of Mundus. These became eight of the planets of Mundus; they are also identified as the Eight Divines, or Aedra. Some Aedra gave themselves completely to their creation, and became the Earthbones that form the substance and life of the final planet: Nirn.
Soon after the planets had formed, Magnus became disgusted at what Mundus was, and so left for Aetherius, his passage ripping a hole in Oblivion. This rip is viewed as the sun, and is responsible for much of Mundus' magical energy. Others soon followed after Magnus; these et'Ada left smaller holes, which became the stars. Some et'Ada did not manage to escape or chose to stay on Nirn as spirits. These et'Ada changed into the Earthbones (Ehlnofey) or simply wasted away into nothingness.

Goal:
To eliminate the influence of Sithis in all of its forms, and restore order to the mortal world to achieve a place closer to Aetherius.

Ranks:
Archmage- Ruler of the guild.
Knight Commander - Co-owner of the guild. Leader of the Knights of Magnus.

The Council- Assist the Archmage in running the guild (one is assigned to each division).
-Council positions: Captain of the Guard, Master of Arms, Keeper of the Treasury, Master of Crafts, Chief Priest, Keeper of Secrets.

Mage- Officers of the guild. They help train the initiates and recruit new promising individuals.
Adept- Trusted members of the guild who may choose a division to specialize in.
Novice- New or unproven members of the guild.

Trick-Maker - those members of the guild who broke one of the tenets of guild.

Divisions:
Law & Enforcement
Those members who are in charge of protecting the Archmage and his Council. You can only join The Guard by being appointed by a Council member or the Archmage. These individuals are also in charge of enforcing the laws/tenets of the guild and ensuring that no one is causing a problem within the guild.

The Treasury
Your task is to make money for the guild by buying and selling items on behalf of the guild. Members will control the items within our guild bank (abuse of this privilege will result in punishments). The primary objective is to continuously add money to our bank.

Crafting & Resources
The primary purpose of this group is to gather raw materials and then create something for the Treasury to sell or add to the bank for the guild to use. The gatherers need to have a firm grasp of what materials are necessary and what are not, and work closely with the craftsmen who will tell them which supplies are running low. Craftsmen will need to work closely with the Treasury in order to know which items are in demand, so they can produce more of those.

Healing
These members of our guild are desired for any campaign. They will focus on healing our soldiers as we continue to spread our influence across Tamriel.

The Knights of Magnus
"The Knights Magus are brothers and sisters to the Council of Magnus. While they do research and expand the will of Magnus, we protect them. And, in turn, they share their expanded knowledge and arcane enchantments with us. It is a perfect relationship and benefits us each equally."
Naturally, only those of exceptional military skill and demonstrated loyalty to the Council and God Magnus are considered for membership into the Knights of Magnus. (As a member you must understand battle techniques and be skillful in close combat. You must know how to successfully raid a Dungeon, as well as tactics for joining with a group of Mages and others into one cohesive battle unit in our campaigns.)

The ranks within the Knights are:
Knight Commander - leader of the Knights of Magnus

General - Appointed by the Knight Commander. Helps the Knight Commander create raid plans and can take information from the different divisions in place of the Knight Commander. Total of four generals.

Divisions:
Archers Division
Master Marksman - Gives orders to the rest of the Archers Division. Also takes orders from Generals.

Magnus' Archers - Main archers of the Knights of Magnus. Take orders from the Master Marksman

Informant Division
Head Scout - Reports to the Generals of ambushes and enemy activity. Runs the Informant Division.

Scout - Travels ahead of the main army when in Cyrodiil in search of enemy activity. Reports to the Head Scout.

Melee Division (Main Army) - Commanded by the Generals. Consists of all who specialize in melee combat (Swords, Axes, Dual wields, etc)
Creed:
"Sithis, the embodiment of Anuiel's limitations created Lorkhan, the designer of The Trick. Mundus is The Trick and the imprisonment of the Aldmeri. As Magnus escaped Lorkhan's trick, so shall we transcend Mundus' shackles. We are Magi! We shall rise into the Aetherius and there we shall commune with Magnus and live in our fullest potential."

Edicts:
+Foil the Dark Brotherhood, worshipers of Sithis, in all of their endeavors.
-Never suffer a servant of Sithis to live.
+Eliminate the Daedra, and those who control and worship them as they are an affront to Order.
+Spread the truth of the creation of Mundus.
-Do not steal from a fellow Mage.
-Do not attack or kill another Mage.
-Never disobey a superior Mage.

Most definitely, as stated in our Divisions section:

Having the Bosmer in our ranks would definitely help gaining the support of the other Aldmeri Dominion members. I also believe that the Bosmer are fully capable of sharing our viewpoint.

This guild sees like it would be very fun ... just one question though, well two. I really do enjoy the life of a merc in the shadows and don't care wither i get a job from the Dark Brotherhood hood or the thieves guild. I am curios as to how your guild views these people. Also it has been confirmed that the Dark Brotherhood will be in TESO and people can play with the Dark Brotherhood (nothing further has been said yet) will you condemn those who chose to do this so they can experience the Dark Brotherhood in TESO?

In short, yes, we condemn those who work for/with the Dark Brotherhood.

The longer answer is this:

As per our Creed, Sithis is the root cause of our limitations, and therefore is our enemy. Members of our guild are not allowed to work for the Dark Brotherhood or enter into a contract with them. As of now, I do not believe that there will be an active punishment if you do not stop your friend form taking contracts from or dealing with the Dark Brotherhood.

If people really want to join the Dark Brotherhood, there are many other guilds in our alliance, the Southern Brotherhood, who do not share our extreme view on the Dark Brotherhood and they could still join one of those.

However, we hold no qualms with the Thieves guild, and would employ their services in our clandestine operations.
