Culture related transport services

However unsure about too many of the culture related transport methods as of most of Nirn I've just come to wonder if we could expect any of the unseen(if implemented at all).
Of course most cultures tend to use horse carriage, however there are such as the well known Stilt Riders from morrowind and rootworms (mentioned at http://uesp.net/wiki/Lore:The_Argonian_Account,_Book_3 ).
However I'd suspect there'd be others as well likewise in areas such as elsweyr being mostly desert(or some, my reason of thinking of such is a book mentioning the graves of the khajit being excellent looting decisions for those who do not care about the ways of the desert nomads which buried them there.), these areas would be difficult for horses to traverse.

Therefore I decided to start this topic of such if anyone had any ideas of what transport methods they would expect to see in the world as well if they'd believe it'd be implemented at all.

I also started this topic because I enjoy rambling about unecesary things in unecessary lenghts with little usefull content to none...well....let's just say I feel a strange need to justify my action because I'm the one argonian being affected by the hist as a hard drug.

I belive wayshrines will be the travel system of TESO

Debating with someone on the Internet is like mudwrestling with a pig. You get filthy and the pig loves it

Were they not for allready discovered locations with such wayshrines instead of using a map to fast-travel, to travel betwen wayshrines? I was wondering if they would implement transportations as seen in skyrim to travel betwen bigger cities or such.

i would like this so much, but they have mentioned wayshrines already. on the other hand. you have to be at wayshrines before you can get there.
probably it will be like in skyrim that you can get to certain points with paid fast travel before you get the wayshrine there, that would be a nice way of mixing it up. and i realy realy want to see the travel by rootworm...

edit: tricer beat me to it.

True one of the reasons I love argonians so much that I would marry one if I could. The idea of travelling from place to place while inside a living giant animal. Could live be sweeter?...though if irl I'd probably be digested before long using it as a roaler coaster attraction.

I think that it would be cool to have both wayshines to get to most major places and to be able to transport to more unique locations only through these transport systems.

Wayshrines?
I really hope this doesn't work like GW2 because that ruined the world immerson (even though it was part of GW lore...)

If you're in my faction I would assume you'd travel by foot a lot. Don't know about mounts but those would be nice

I'm sure horses and other normal amounts will be available to everyone. But it would be cool if factions or even races had specific mounts... I'm not proficient enough with TES lore (yet) to be able to name some lol.

thats not the topic you are looking for. its not about mounts, its about transportation devices such as carriages, stilt striders, rootworms and such.

basically fast travel mechanisms that are different among the provinces.

Transport services, "SERVICES". Forgive the caps but...it seems people mistake transport services for transport, it is like the difference of driving your own car or a taxi/bus. also mentioned rootworms and stiltriders, I'd like stilt riders as a service like transport, not like a 'baby stilt rider mount'...kinda bee...idk...but wouldn't like it as a personal transport method only service.

On the mainland of Morrowind, giant Netch airships and Nix-Hound sleds. In Dres-owned Morrowind and northern Argonia, rickshaws and other such slave-powered transport. In the Telvanni Islands, you might find a few underlings of the house who will teleport you, for a very hefty fee. In Skyrim, a really primitive sort of cable car (possibly restored Dwemer tech?) for traversing some of the more impressive mountains. Also, a log canoe system for quickly moving down the longer rivers. Primitive gliders formed from sabrecat hides, especially in the Reach. In the Alik'r Desert, sand-barges, but opulent carriages in the richer coastal regions of Hammerfell and High Rock. In the Summerset Isle, a whole host of magical and interdimensional forms of transport service that are scarcely comprehensible to outsiders, but a standard horse and cart does just fine in the rural regions. As for Elsweyr, ships round the coast, though there are rumours of places you can only reach if you know the sugar. In Cyrodiil, they have some of the finest horses for public transport in Colovia, but most transport in Nibenay consists of gondolas along the Red River.

Quite a few decent ideas, with the exception of the nords using anything seemingly modern. My picture of the nords with few exceptions is more like "If it can't cut, chop or bash in faces, it ain't wortwhile my time"(especially if one believe the view on nords from following source, http://uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Bone , I'd like to believe it.). well, my opinion anyways.
