Deadric Artifacts

I post this in the lore section because it has to do with keeping the lore intact during ESO.
I am a little scared that this could be something that would prove right, the people who are saying ESO will fail because the lore wont match.

Deadric Artifacts should only be able to be used by one person at a time because there is ONLY ONE of each artifact in the current games and ESO should be the same way. Although leaving them out is 100% out of the question for me.
So I guess what I am trying to say is how do you think Zenimax should handle this?

I like some of the ideas that I have heard on YouTube. One person suggested that only one person gets them and when killed in pvp they go to the person who killed them. I like this idea but there are still problems with it. What if someone kills a person in pvp who has an artifact and decides oh well sweet I have this artifact and I will never go into pvp again so I don't lose it. The solution to this would be to only have the weapons in pvp and once a pvp round had ended the artifact disappeared until the next pvp round.

That would allow us to keep the feeling of having a deadric artifact as an almighty weapon but it would end the quests behind the artifacts and that simply is not cool.

My theory for this is not the best idea but could still work.
Each faction has the chance to get the artifact in this way. The AD has the most people to have completed Sheogoraths quest so that faction has the greatest chance of Sheogorath giving ONE of the factions members his artifact to use inside pvp. This would work on a weekly cycle. Say on Monday Sheogorath decides which factions to give the artifact to then EVERY DAY picks a different member to get the artifact. Also the member must have completed Sheogoraths quest in order to gain it.
Also I am not saying that for sure the AD gets the artifact because they have the most people to complete a quest they just have the greatest chance of receiving it. This helps the problem of one faction has all of the artifacts because they have the most players/loyal players. The faction with the most could say have a 10% greater chance of receiving the artifact.

*This allows for there to be quests.
*ONLY ONE ARTIFACT
*provides the feeling of the Deadric Princes interacting with the world
*nobody can "hoard" all of the artifacts

Thank you for taking the time to view this post and hope to see you all in game.

I will admit I havent brushed up on my lore for TESO yet (still in the process of it) but if I remember from the game the Deadric Artifacts were granted to Champions of the Deadric Princes. I realize that in some quests in Elder Scrolls games that your quest for those Princes were to take the item away from others but I thought the basic point of such items was to provide Champions with advantages.

With that being said I think its alittle to early to tell what roles those Princes will play in TESO, we may find that all the princes are sitting back and watching to see what Molag Bal so they wont be actively searching for champions. It could be that the Princes provide them only instanced events (similar to what you were saying about PvP) and once that encounter/instance is finished the item is removed.

The one thing to keep in mind with the Elder Scroll games was that there were no repercussion that the character faced after completing most quests. Players aren't punished or hunted by Hicrine for killing his servants (werewolves), Azura doesn't try to eradicate you if after you have become her champion, you become a vampire or practice necromancy.

While I agree I would like to see the Deadric Princes and their artifacts sprinkled into the story line, I have made it a point not to really make up my mind on how it should be done. Its very possible that Zennimax may forego their involvement in this expansion as they let Molag Bal hatch his scheme and the next expansion may possible be the princes all trying to hatch their own schemes in the vacuum that Molag Bal's failed scheme creates. (and yes I do realize there are 'good' princes that would probably not participate)
