Anyone? I'm looking to start playing soon and would love a group to play with. If you don't know what it is, it's basically post zombie apocalyptic world with extreme immersion. Everything is taken into effect for survival from hunger and thirst, to weather and injuries. Here is the link to the page. Let me know!

I have quite a few friends who have been enjoying playing Day Z! They've always got a few entertaining stories to share on their experiences.

I was considering jumping into it myself, but for a few reasons I was thinking I'll wait for the standalone version to release before diving into it.

Character Profiles:
Endaros Ilmori - Buoyant Armiger
Sunrio - Aldmeri Justiciar

Taren Jucanis - Imperial Deserter (Used for The Black Shroud RP)

When is the standalone version suppose to release? I've heard great things about the game and can't wait to get involved myself.

Apparently they still have a lot of work to do with the game! It's still in a pretty early Alpha state, and they don't have a release date available. It's likely going to be a while, at least 5+ months or so. So there's probably still plenty of time to enjoy the current DayZ!

Definitely best to play with friends though. I keep thinking about going for it then holding back, then going for it again. Sick

I'd join your posse. I played once, met this random player. (Funny how he didn't drop me.) Got pinned down in some building with him. He got dropped, I legged it out but got shot down when the enemy posse chased me through the woods. I'd prefer to be in a larger group as it ensures some safety in numbers. We should play sometime, What'd you think?

Yea some of the vids ive watched have said its still a tad buggy but I don't mind that I've played buggy games before (I'm looking at you Bethesda!) Hopefully I can get a decent sized group.

Sounds good! I think my wife is going to start playing at some point and then I have another friend who will probably join us as well. I will let you know when we start :) We will be on a West Coast server most likely.

The DayZ standalone released on Steam yesterday in an early beta version, so it's definitely at a testing stage right now. Still I've heard people who are playing it are having fun despite what bugs there may be.

Someone had this moment to share on their first day.

Only glaring complaint I've been hearing is that the $30 price tag is a bit steep for some for a beta.

Thanks for sharing bud! I'm disinclined to buy it just yet. I think I'll wait a bit and see what kind of gameplay vids come out for it. $30 bucks is kind of steep right now I think but maybe my opinion will change later.
