Quote:Four classes have been confirmed for the Ebonheart Pact: Dragonknight, Templar, Sorcerer, and Warden. The Dragonknight is an offensive warrior with many controlling abilities, the Templar is a stalwart defensive fighter, calling upon the power of the sun to damage foes and heal allies. The sorcerer is an offensive mage unleashing elemental damage on his foes. The warden is a more defensive spellcaster

Dragonknight > offensive warrior with many controlling abilities
Templar > stalwart defensive fighter, calling upon the power of the sun to damage foes and heal allies.
Sorcerer > offensive mage unleashing elemental damage on his foes
Warden > defensive spellcaster

Feel free to discuss here, Ebonheart Pact players.

Aren't the classes world-wide? Meaning they're not bound to one faction?

thats something i would actually like to know. the Dragon Knight sounds weirdly specific to me. both the dragon and the akaviri theme fit the ebonheart pact, and nobody else. on the other hand. we have seen a redguard use the abilities of one.

id assume they are the same for all the factions (thats why the weird names confuse me quite a bit)

DC and AD will add new classes later, for moment as I wrote, belong to EP classes. I am unsure it keeps 4 or more classes, is unknown yet. But as far i know, it is confirmed of current class names (edited)

I for one would be seriously gutted if a certain faction can only play certain classes... :|

I feel same with you, but faction role as classes... It is maybe why ZoS want a good balance between faction counts... Well.

Still i am very curious how AD and DC get new classes later, will add info to DC and AD own thread.

i highly doubt it, weve seen DC races using skills belonging to the classes we do know. also its a mess to balance otherwise (then again, DaoC had faction specific classes too)

Could be they're the same classes, but with different names depending on faction?

Like SWTOR did it (sort of)

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Can't be just 4 classes, no rogue class yet.

I expect it will be something like this, with perhaps some minor changes (perhaps even only esthetic) changes, I think.

I think since EP have a icon -> Dragon, right? So it is also same way EP class names...So it is mostly to be fixed of EP classes (maybe more later)

So DC = Lions..sound more warrior classes to say.

AD = Eagle, mester of archer and rogue plus mage of high elves of AD classes.

Look EP, is well both warrior (Dragonknight) and and mages (Sorcerer and Warden) and healer (Templar) the way.
Warden is well good against enemies of mages i bet.

You can take my word on the to-be-fact that there ain't gonna be no class-locked factions.

Since they won't have race bonuses. They don't want to make the player feel obliged to pick a race/class/faction.

And by god I hope that ain't all of the warrior type classes..

Yeah. Something like what SWTOR or WAR did. Maybe different names, effects and armors but but the same stats underneath.

Shamans maybe, but no matter Argonians have magical case. You want the fighter, like what? Dragonknight? (if it is one only) - Of course i hope TESO will add more than 4 only, but early to say right now.

A game i used to play, Rappelz, did that. 3 races and each race had its own 3 classes. It wasnt all that bad...

however it was NOT a RvR so a party can be made up of all 3 races.
