Ok so we know how to become one initially ( faction owns all the keeps you have the most alliance points ).
How do you loose the crown?
I suspect if you loose a keep you loose the crown, can someone confirm this or give views?

If they choose to go that way I personally think loosing a keep shouldn't dethrone you instantly, instead you should have a certain amount of time to be able to recapture the keep before loosing your crown.

I don't think losing a keep will dethrone you at all.

Pretty sure the only ways to lose the title would be to leave Cyrodiil, either by logging off or going into a faction territory, or dying.

Check previous threads and other news, but from my understanding it goes like this:

Once your alliance controls all the keeps surrounding the Imperial city, the player with the highest alliance points is crowned. Once one of those keeps is lost (one of the few surrounding the imperial city), the current emperor remains emperor until: he/she logs out or is killed. I think there is one more way to be dethroned but for the life of me I can't remember it. For more info one of the recent shoddycasts covers it.

Fight for something to die for, because living for nothing really isn't worth it.

I would really hope that loosing one keep would not immediately dethrone you. In my opinion I would assume that you have a certain period of time to recapture a location, and once that time is up, you lose the throne.

I think that's great, it gives you a chance to get the keep back.
But there are still questions, what if you loose the keep while your not logged on.

I believe the additional reason was if they left the zone. And additionally though not stated, i imagine another siutation would be when a new Emporer is crowned from a different faction, otherwise it would get somewhat strange.

If leaving the zone makes you loose the crown that would be silly. so is logging off.
The only way I can see you loosing the crown immediately is if someone in your alliance gets more points than you.
