ESO on Mac?

Hi,

I'm new to PC/Mac gaming and therefore could do with a little info/help.

I've recently received a beta test key and will activate it this weekend. However, can anybody tell what the gameplay is like using a Mac?

I've never played online using my Mac before as i'm primarily a console user. However, I thought this might be an opportune moment to make the leap between the two platforms. I do have one problem, i'm a huge fan of using a gamepad and that's the main reason I don't use my Mac or PC for gaming purposes. Don't threat as I think I have found a solution to this issue (Please don't say, "Err use the mouse and keyboard provided!").

I can use my PS3 controller on my Mac, tested it on Skyrim, Borderlands 2, Counter Strike and all work fine. I will test for compatibility against ESO this coming weekend, if not compatible then i'll just have use a PS4 :-(

Please don't slate me for being a console user, everyones upbringing is different and therefore their choices and opportunities are different.

I hope to meet many new members over the coming months and make a few new online buddies.

CivRules.

While the console-version is played with a GamePad, the PC/Mac version is optimized for use with mouse/kb. You can try, but I'd suggest trying to use mouse/kb, that is in regards to all MMO's, really.
Since this is beta, there's no harm in trying it out before you decide.

Exactly, it's in the beta test phase so I thought why the hell not!? Thanks.

I won't judge you for being a console user. You can't help the way your parents raised you. We just need a better public education system.

I'm using mac too, and I'm very nervous. This will be my first time seriously gaming with my mac. I have some ps3 devices though, how do I hook them up to use?

Also, can anyone tell me why I've been downloading the updated game and in 24 hours I've only loaded 1%?

Thanks for not judging...

Elaborate on what you mean by, PS3 devices, as for downloading that is unfortunately user specific. When you say, updated game, do you mean the ESO Client?

Gamepads will NOT be supported by ESO natively. You will have to use an emulator program to use any gamepads for ESO on PC/MAC.

Thanks for the info, however i've already completed that stage. All I need is the game to begin the testing phase.
