Just from looking at that video it makes me wonder if the specifications for computers are going to be high. TESO said that they wouldn't be extreme. anyone have any idea on what the spec might be to play this game on all medium/low/high.

I plan on getting a Sager NP6165, hope that does the trick hehe.

They stated that their aim is for any computer purchased in the last five years. Now dont think that if you buy a 300$ PC it will be okay because it probably wont.

I can run skyrim on the lowest setting but I'm upgrading for the sake of the amazing graphics in this game

The video itself as with any promotional product is done at the highest of high settings, in most cases when it comes to MMOs and games, the Developers have Settings for the graphics that go well beyond the "high settings" a user can have.

This is for multiple reasons, one to make the game look incredible for Promotions, and 2 to test out the engine and the core of the game to see how high they can go and be able to "set the bar" for what users should be able to do.

The best guess, is use Skyrim's Min Specs to be the bottom line for ESO.

Recommended
Windows 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit)
Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU processor
4GB System RAM
60GB free HDD space
DirectX 9.0c compatible NVIDIA or AMD ATI video card with 1GB of RAM: Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 or higher; ATI Radeon HD 4890 or higher

Minimum System Requirements
Windows 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit)
Processor: Intel Dual Core 2.0GHz or equivalent processor (AMD Sempron @ 2.4 GHz)
2GB System RAM
20GB free HDD space (average MMO is close to 20gb of data)
Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 512 MB of RAM
DirectX compatible sound card

I figured that the specs would be similar in respect to Skyrim but I wasn't really sure. I feel like they might alter It a bit. I'm really curious now how many video settings their gonna incorporate. Just from the looks of it the video is freaking amazing. This makes me want to play it right now.

The developers say "any PC from the last five years", but what they really mean is, "we're not anywhere near maxing out our over-the-top development machines". Very few games are rigorously tested on 'common' hardware until they're already functionally complete, which I regard as a major error for game developers, but which ultimately seems to turn out fine for them anyway.

However, considering that the Xbox 360's hardware would be pretty low-end for a computer nowadays, it's safe to say that you could manage Skyrim-quality graphics on a common machine.

Min specs:
Pentium 4 or better
Vista or Newer
DirectX10 w/ at least 256MB GDDR3+
2GB RAM
10GB free space in HDD

Recommended specs:
Core2 or better
Windows 7
DirectX10 w/ 1GB GDDR5
4GB RAM

My guess is that even though it's graphics won't be as *heavy* as those of Skyrim, the overall requirements will because we're talking for a much larger scale setting here. So I agree with those that set Skyrim's minimum/recommended system requirements as those of TES:O.

I believe on Skyrim it hits a 31/34 Fps. I guess i could consider that pretty good.

I think you may have your sources mixed up... my HD 6450 (under 100$) hits 22 fps and its a very low end card compared to the 400$ 7950

Also.. what is a Sager NP6165?

I think the system requirements will actually be a little bit lower than Skyrim. As long as I can get 20 fps inside a raid I'll be happy.

I was reading the specs wrong. On a high resolution screen it was 30 but on 1080 it was like 70. A sager is a gaming laptop and it's a pretty unknown name to alot of people who haven't bought gaming laptop. But it's one of the best and it's got a GTX660 that get's about 40-45 fps on high settings in Skyrim

Ya my Asus G75V with a 2.4GHz i7 3630QM runs Skyrim on ultra settings with the mod Skyrim HD at about 40 FPS. I love my laptop Winking_grinning

As for TESO I hope we can turn the graphics and other option way up to enjoy the beauty of the game.
