I've been thinking of how Zenimax is going to apply some of the key features of the ESO series to the mmo. Specifically what I've been thinking about is the carry weight mechanic. It used to be that the carry weight goes up with your stamina, but how will they do it in the mmo? Post replies on this and many more different mechanics. ^.^

Other MMOs had this mechanic, it was based on the Strength attribute so of course, your Melee Classes with the heavy armour were able to carry move in their bags. The game that did this very well that comes to mind, is Dark Ages of Camelot.

So I'm more than certain this mechanic will be in ESO as it is in previous TES games.

I can only think of DAoC, I have put a Tweet out there to see if anyone else can think of anymore, I'll reply with a list should people tweet back.

I highly recommend taking a look at DAoC as a lot of aspects that ESO has, have been taken directly from DAoC itself with Matt Firor being the Director and the Lead in DAoC a lot of the features will link back to this game.

I believe its Free to Play (least a trial)

I'd be pleasantly surprised if there's anything else but bag size and slots determining how much one can carry. To manage my expectations, I just go with the industry standard. There will be interdimensional and gravity defying bags.

In my MMO dream world, a strenght or might attribute would set the max amount to lift and stamina would tell how far you could carry the monkey head.

From what we've been told, magicka, stamina, and strength will affect your character's vitals and not carrying capacity. That doesn't mean that they won't, just that they haven't told us. I am much more inclined to believe that they'll give us a standard MMO inventory with bags.

I don't see it being your typical have multiple bags, but I don't see it the type of inventory like Skyrim...

I do see it being like a backpack type style, where you have ONE bag that can become bigger by buying a bigger backpack. I do not foresee multiple bags like World of Warcraft has. but more like SWTOR in a way where it is one bag that can become bigger with money.

this seems like a good idea to me as well. It gives a purpose for money assuming that it will be like wow where you get all your gear from doing raids and dungeon and money is only used for reagens and vanity items. I hope TESO makes it so that money is used for more than just reagents and vanity items.

im agreeing with deveron on this one. id think its all about the bag slots here. this beeing an MMO. youl usually keep HUGE stacks of crafting materials with you, not to mention potions and other junk. in much larger quantities like you would use them in a singleplayer game. Not to mention all the loot.

it wouldnt be practical i suppose. and letting Warriors carry more loot than mages, how it was in other TES games, makes sense on a realistic perspective. but its also heavily annoying for the players in question.

If you don't remember for whatever reason, arrows have no weight in ES games ^.^
