All new MMO's have a bumpy start. Comparatively speaking, this has been extremely smooth. Definitely the smoothest first few days of any MMO I've played. I have no complaints.

Yes, yes it is.

Considering I was expecting more crap graphics and just the ordinary Skyrim combat (which was kinda clunky on pc)

Gone to a better MMO, soz guys, it was fun.

No. It is not. @ days into "Early Release" and so far I have seen 2 Maintenance closings. It seems that they wasted the last Stress test on a former build that should have been updated and tested instead of throwing it out to be tested again without the patches. I may have to re-think using my key code Friday and wait a month before wasting my 30 days on downtime while they fix things that should have been fixed before they took our money.

Complaining about a 20 minute maintenance too now? Every mmo has maintenance, especially at early release/launch, it is to be expected.

Is it everything I hoped for? No, if it was it would never be down, no bugs, and would be perfect in every single aspect. But, I will never get the game I hoped for unless I make it myself. I am satisfied with the game, and I enjoy my time spent playing it.

Sorry, I don't give that discernment a binary decision.
Maybe if you had a couple more choices like:
"Everything I thought they might do, awesome"
"Mostly or close"
Often what a person hopes is unrealistic in terms of what the "fun" outcome will actually be. So setting the bar to "everything you hoped and dreamed it would be" is like shooting for the next galaxy, for some ppl, not gonna happen in a million years. So I didn't vote.

EDIT 4/3: I am disappointed that there is no theft/justice system in ESO. And thief/sneak skill lines, and the choice to pickpocket/steal quest items. But all-in-all the disappointment is minor compared to the positives.

EDIT 4/4: I think the lack of the sneak skill lines/theft/justice system is due to the laws/attitudes of certain nations around the world (Saudi Arabia and Iran being among them). If they had these integrated, those nations may have banned the game. With this in mind, I have come to the personal conclusion that those systems will never be implemented into ESO, at least as long as it remains popular worldwide. FYI.

No, an 11 hour maintenance!
Server maintenance
(so far, and counting...)

UPDATE: 12:00 P.m. EDT there is a two-minute countdown timer on the game login screen!
No, at 12:03 it changed to 5m and recycles I guess. You have to try to login again after the timer expires to see the timer again.

Crappy satellite Internet very laggy pings 700-1000 not god for gaming, can't play most online games but ESO works good enough.

Nah, he said 2 maintenance. I meant the one earlier that was a small 20-30 minute maintenance haha.

When you watch the news-if you watch the news- the reporters often use the term "my sources tell me " that is there way of saying I am making my own version of what happened without trying to look stupid. Maintenance is the same type of hidden meaning. It actually means we don't know what is wrong so we are trying to fix it.

That is the point, to fix problems so that people have a more enjoyable experience when playing. And when game launches and a bunch of people login, sometimes unexpected things happen that need to be fixed.

You are so right. Maybe that is why they should have tested the newest version instead of the older one during the second stress test. Maybe they would have found out earlier. My point is that this early release is not a beta. People paid for their early release by buying upfront for these days to play the game not test it. if this was another beta than why an extra 40-50 dollars for 2 more days of beta. They should have postponed the launch for 2 more weeks and had more testing done. In house testing cannot compare to public testing due to sheer numbers involved.

Maybe the "newer version" had something wrong with it that prevented the server mass-stress-testing proper. That's way I think they did that, the older ver did the mass-stress-testing proper. It was just unfortunate that they could not use the later build.

I will have to disagree with you here. Did you actually pay more for early release access? No. You got early access as a reward for pre-ordering, so you paid the same thing that you would have paid if you bought this game on release day.

Also, it is pretty standard MMO procedures that unexpected things happen when the game goes live, that no amount of beta testing will catch. It is called 'Murphy's Law' - anything that can go wrong will go wrong. You could have tested this game for another 6 months and still had server downtime at launch, because there will always, always be things changed between the last beta and the live version, otherwise you are playing 'early release' and not beta, because the game is finished, just not released yet.

Often times months and years down the road in the life of an MMO, they will change or update something, and one little detail escapes their notice, and when they make the change, it screws something else up, and they either extend maintenance times, or have to schedule an additional server maintenance.

Perfection is a fine goal, but when dealing with something this complex, I would say it is unachievable. When the first perfect MMO comes out, that requires no server maintenance, and has zero issues during the life of the game, let me know.

The fires burn. Our supplies are spent. Axes are dull, and armor is rent. The enemy approaches, our doom, they seek. We are Daggerfall Covenant. We are Orcs. Our comrades, they come, for glory they seek, at the side of our iron and steel. We will not fall.

For the most part yes. There are always things that could be better in games, and I haven't had as much time to play as I would like, but overall I'm happy with it.

The skill choices are amazing, the game runs extremely smoothly (to my surprise), AvA runs with MORE than 200 people on screen without a hitch, and the game is adequately difficult . . on top of all of this the quests are interesting and varied.

I think the only negative thing I can say of the game is that AvA, atm, is a zerg game from keep to keep. Obviously, though, this will change once more people are level 50 and guilds get into the picture more. As is stands however.. it's pretty much each side has this massive horde that goes from keep to keep, and the defense has little to no time to react when all of a sudden there's 20 trebuchets outside their door.

Besides that...bugs. There are a handful of buggy quests (which will be fixed so I pay them no mind really). The game looks amazing, plays amazing, and there's a bunch of cool stuff to do. I'd give about an 8.5/10
