Didn't see anyone make a topic like this.

I've been thinking heavily about the potential melee mechanics, Block overhead dupe, right side swing etc.

i think it would be amazing if it was similiar to Chivalry medieval warfare if you've ever heard of it.

If you've never seen it b4, i reccomend taking a look. It's a really cool game.

thats not gonna happen.
It just doesnt translate well into the lag ridden world of an MMORPG, also there are plenty of threads on combat.
Im sure youll find your answers regarding it there.

one thing i would like to have from chivalry is blocking. in chivalry if you block, you really block and only a kick/in skyrim power attack comes throug it. in skyrim they did that if you block, your shield only absorbs a part of the damage.

Yah, idk .. Me, personally, love Chivalry's combat. However, I can NOT see that in a scale of 200 people on top of there being spells and abilities. They're trying to minimize lag & when you add a huge amount of positioning required to attack effectively . . it can really mess up when there IS lag, which there is bound to be with that system. Imagine swinging your sword and they just appear to the right of where you swung. . t'would be an absolute nightmare, haha. Not to mention mages would have a field day in PvP just having to target and click a button.

Works tolerably well if you drop the first "M" off. It's the transition from "multiplayer" to "massively multiplayer" that breaks it, really.

yeah. it could work with a DDO like system. but that would not fit TES at all.

Like a power atack in the Elder Scrolls Games?
Absolutely not!

If so, everybody would do power atacks at any time!
This will use abilities, that you would buy or learn from level to level to balance things, power atacks are abilities that you have in the beggining of the game.
