Do you think there should be more classes in TESO?

If so, what classes would you like to see and why?

I personally don't only because of what ZOS is trying to really make the class system: a barebones starting point for what your character can eventually be. Your class will have very little effect on what your character will really be, so why take more time to add more of something that serves so little purpose? Just my opinion.

Good point! I'm in the middle. I want more but at the same time I don't.

I dont think we need more classes.

We have
Dragonknight - offensive warrior class skills
Templar - Defensive warrior class skills
Mage - conjurer / magic class skills
Nightblade - assassin class skills

Those are the template

Then we have the open for all:
Fighters/mages guild from the beginning each with a full skill line.
We have weapon and armor skill lines and everyone can use any weapon and armor they want.
Add PVP skill lines also.
Futher into the game thiefs/dark brotherhood skill lines will come and who knows what more.

So basicly every class can play any way they want. I looked for a class where I found the most skills I liked. You dont need to like every class skill lines. You'll probably only end up using a few of the class skills anyway.

ESO have imo made a very nice system.

I wonder what happened to that Warden Class that was rumored to be in the game?

I would personally like a class with almost all support/status stuff. A healing tree, a buff tree, and a debuff tree.

Of course, the more the merrier. Having more customization is never bad when it comes to toon building, overall it creates more chaos which by group vs. group perspective is more than likely a balancing factor for AvA.

Also, don't fall to stereotyped categorization of the classes. For example, how does DK possess "warrior" skills when they can be used on any weapon, not to mention they are spells and cost mana?

Dragonknight: Fire Damage, survivability, utility,
Templar: Magic Damage, healing, utility
Sorcerer: Shock Damage, summons, utility
Nightblade: Magic Damage, debuffs, utility

Armor classes:
LA: Purely magic benefits (Mana)
MA: Mobility and stealth (Stamina)
HA: Damage and survivability (Health)

The real "warrior" categorized skills can be found from 2H and S&B trees. Closest thing to rogue abilities from DW and bows (can be also classified as ranger blabla depending on which system of archetypes you relate them to). Naturally mages have the staves (Both of them) with resto having emphasis on healers archetype.

I would have loved to see the Warden Class thinking about what skills and perks they would have also I would have like to see a class more aimed at physical ranged damage

I think they should make talents for different roles in the class. For example Dragon Knight would have a more Tanky build, DPS build, dual wielding build, etc. Sorcerer: Fire, Frost, Undead (Summoning/Like a Warlock) and healing. Templar: Holy (Healing), DPS and Tank. Nightblade: Assassin, Theif, Archer, Beast Master. The list could go on... Yes, I know it's not like an Elder Scroll like idea but it is just a guild line to help you with your more preferred role granting you different abilities. I guess they already have that with different weapon skills.

I heard the warden was more of a buffing class but I also heard it was scraped.

Not really surprising, as buff classes are merely nothing more than a necessity to have. And necessities are just "unnecessary timesink" so to say.

If you look at the classes design closely, every single class ability is fueled by magicka. So you can see it as exclusive magic skill lines

Im quite sure there will be more added along the way, but given what we have seen, I wouldnt expect the oldschool Elder Scrolls classes. The classes design is one of areas ZOS pulling apeshit to make things "cool"

Am I the only who thinks that most people buying ZoS b.s. And publicity stuns "classes only starting points" ...right... If you put some though into it of all abilities that are most likely to be used or useful 15/21 will come from class, yes I know there is more kill lines like PvP and guild and vampires etc, but we cent count on those as "core" ability that are available to you, most of theme are extremely specifics. Don't get me wrong I am not here to bad mount devs, and I cent prove anything without actually playing the game, but I believe the longer people will play the game the class "limitation" will become more clear.
But I won't lose hope, since devs sated during interview that if curent amount of skill lines won't be enough they will add more, it all depends on the community and there "input".
