Every MMORPG has them. and from what Ive researched TESO is going to have a far larger landscape.

So the game will obviously have to have fast travel methods to get from one end of the world to the other.
Im guessing implementation of Mages guild teleporting, or siltstriders may be used.
I doubt there will be any Dragon riding.

So that leads me to my question, what will there be?

Nothing would make me more happy than to have my own Pack Guar.

There will be wayshrines.
There will be horses.
There will be NO flying mounts.

I think that's about all they've said so far.

I would love to know if there is potential for ruining somebodies day by stealing, or slaughtering their horse while they have their attention turned.

There should be mountable 4-legged Khajiit's and there should be multiple kinds. Some rarer then other.

Khajiit's mounting Khajiit's might just change ESRB rating.

Mounts will be similar to any other mmo. So you have to summon your horse using a channeled ability(its about 3 seconds in WoW) which will automatically mount you and when you you an attack ability it will dismount you or you can click on the mount ability again to dismount. When you dismount your horse disappears. You can only use your mount when your not in combat. I can 99.9% guarantee you it will be like this.

Also you can buy a starter mount around lvl 20 for most game which is 60% increased speed and about 10-20 levels before level cap you can buy a mount that is 100% increased speed.

I don't think there's any escaping mounts in TESO, it's essential if they want players to roam and explore the different areas of the game so I'm not surprised if they were to include standard mounts. However at what level and what's needed to obtain these mounts will be the real question.

Only if you've got the mind of a 13 year old =/ Personally I'd find having Lore-friendly mounts a great idea. I'll admittedly be dissapointed if all we have are horses.

Flying mounts is definetly something Zenimax should avoid entirely. While it makes travel quicker (not really needed if we have wayshrines), they somewhat affect the ambiance of the world as well as make all the world artist's work go to waste. =p

Still, flying on dragons back, would be awesome, and they said, they will be bringing dragons back to game some time in the future :)

Something like flying wyverns in Lineage2, epic experience, and not accessible to everyone (at least wasn't).

It might be awesome, but still, I'd rather have it not included whatsoever. Nothing ruins immersion more for me than having someone flying overhead on a magic carpet while I'm running around questing. I feel as though including such flying mounts if a quick way to break off the spirit of the Elder Scrolls and quickly devolve into WoW-style silliness.

And what about PvP flying mounts, that require resource over time to be used, but have some special skills. I agree that everyone having flying mounts would be bad, but, at least emperor, flying over heads, on nice dragon, would still be epic ;)

ah dammit.
with the new people we also get the stupid topics.

There are no dragon. There will be no dragon Riding. There will be no flying mounts. None of that!
The only flying mount in the lore besides dragons are the Wasps of House Dres. And im pretty sure we wont be able to have that.

Mounts will be in the game but only Horses, and no mounted combat has been mentioned.
and knowing DAOC im pretty sure we wont be able to have mounts in PvP.

The dragons will be there. One of developers said so in interview. Not at the start of the game of course, by they hope to find the way to add them in future.
And about mounts, well, there were stories of heroes riding dragons in lore. So why not? :)

I know, that they will not add flying mounts at launch, but, that does not mean, they can't add them in future.

And this is forum, it is made for discussion. Discussion includes good topics, and bad topics. Dealt with it ;)

When you hit the beta, I'll be hovering over you with my Silt strider yelling "You forgot something!"
