Ebonheart Pact (Nord)
As a child, Olermir lived peacefully with his parents, who were farmers, on the outskirts of Whiterun. They lived a peaceful life, and demand in wheat was high as Skyrim's cold climate offered few acres of land where one could sufficiently cultivate it. One night, however, horror rained down on them. Under the light of the Bloodmoon, a stranger knocked on the door, asking for shelter for the night. They politely let the stranger into their home. When they sat on the table to have dinner, the stranger looked disgusted by the vegetable soup, and said: "I was looking for something more...bloody..." Then, he let out a roar and started ripping out his clothes...and he changed. His body grew larger, his limbs became longer. Black fur covered him from head to toe and his nails grew long and sharp. The stranger was a werewolf. Before they could even react, with claw and fang, he turned Olermir's parents to bloody carcasses, and then turned his eyes on young Olermir. He let out a fearsome howl, that put terror deep within Olermir's heart, and then stormed out of the house and vanished into the darkness of the night. Looking everywhere around him to find somewhere where he could focus his sight away from the dead bodies of his parents, Olermir's eyes stopped on an amulet that the stranger had dropped on the floor while he was turning. He picked it up, and knew that with this in hand, he could one day track down the beast, and exact vengeance for his parents' deaths.

Many years passed, and Olermir trained with sword and shield by the best trainers Skyrim had to offer. He was always asking around in inns about the amulet he had, and if anyone could recognize who it might belong to. One day, an old man recognized the amulet; his wife and child had been victims to the same beast many years ago. He told Olermir what he knew about the stranger.

Olermir put together what gold pieces he had, sold his sword, and with the money he had gathered over the years, had the local blacksmith forge him a silver sword, as his studies on werewolves had taught him they are highly susceptible to silver.

The next morning, just as the sun started to rise on the horizon, he set out on his hunt. A few of the people that had been his company all these years waved him farewell in fear they would never see him again.

Later that night, he arrived at his destination: a cave on the slopes of the Throat of the World. He left the supplies he had taken with him at the cave's entrance, and, sword and shield in hand, he entered it. Inside the cave, he saw a simple yet adequate living quarter; a bed, a hearthfire and a desk. But no sight of the stranger that made this cave his home. He walked over to the desk and found a journal, detailing all the "hunting trips" of the stranger. Through the pages, he came across an entry on the night his parents' died. Rage filled his veins, and his wrath would be unstoppable.

"Never thought you'd find me.", a voice said a few feet behind him.

He turned around to see the stranger soaked in blood. He had just been "hunting".

"You never should have crossed my path.", Olermir replied. "Tonight, you shall pay for what you did to my parents and everyone else. Tonight you shall feel my wrath!"

He raised his sword and charged at the stranger. The stranger simply pushed him away, as if he was a straw doll for sword practice. And he began to change, just as he had done so many years ago. Now a beast stood before him, but Olermir's resolve didn't fade. He took a defensive position with his shield raised. The werewolf leaped onto him, and his fangs stopped just a breath away from Olermir's throat, as he pust the beast away from him with his shield. He bashed the beast again and again with his shield, without managing to find an opening in his opponent's defenses, while making sure to block the whirlwind of claws that the beast unleashed on him. The werewolf let out a bellowing roar, and mauled Olermir with its right hand. Sent flying several feet away, his shield slipped out of his hand mid-air. Now defenseless, he stood up with fire burning in his eyes. The werewolf charged at him. As the beast leaped on him, and sank its teeth into Olermir's shoulder, he got the chance his had been waiting for. He thrust his silver blade into the werewolf, piercing his heart. With a final howl, the beast fell lifeless to the ground. Olermir found the strength to get up few minutes later, not caring for his wound, as joy overcame him for avenging his parents. He tended to his wound, and got on his way back home.

Once he passed through Whiterun's main gate, the people started gathering around him. The blacksmith that had forged his blade walked up to him and asked "Was the blade any good? I'm used to making steel swords for battle, not fancy silver toothpicks."

Olermir took out his backpack, and from it he took out the beast's severed head.

"Aye, I think it did alright, for a fancy silver toothpick."

The crowd cheered and hailed him. And from that day on, he would be known as Wrathbringer.

Nearly a month later, the Bloodmoon rose once again on the midnight sky.

The next day, Olermir would wake up in the forest on the outskirts of Falkreath, lying beside a half-eaten deer. He stood up and looked down on his body. He was naked and covered in blood. He realized that he had been turned to a werewolf, infected by the beast's bite a month earlier. Such a fool he had been, bent on enacting vengeance, that he had only read about how to kill werewolves, not how to protect yourself against one.

Shaken, he got back to Whiterun and sneaked into his house to remain undetected, naked as he was. He packed his things and set out for the Temple of the Divines in Solitude, to seek a cure.

Once there, the priest told him that after the disease had progressed far enough so as to turn him for the first time, he would never be cured of it, unless the Divines wished it so. His only hope would be to learn how to control the beast inside, and only the School of Restoration would help him in his endeavor.

A few more years passed, and after a dedicated service to the Temple of the Divines and endless studying in the School of Restoration, Olermir was knighted a Templar. He had the beast within him under full control, he could still turn into a werewolf but only if he wanted to and he could keep his instincts under control.

But Tamriel was in turmoil. Three alliances arose, all seeking to conquer Cyrodiil for their own; the Aldmeri Dominion to the south-west, the Daggerfall Covenant to the north and the Ebonheart Pact, which Skyrim was part of, to the west. An all-out war all across Tamriel had just broken loose.

And Olermir Wrathbringer's duty as a Templar, had only just began.

(Sorry for any historical inconsistences, I haven't really had the time to study on the lore for the era TESO is set it, so please bare with me.)

Every learning process concerning lore starts somewhere, and it's usually with your first story :D Well done, and don't stop with one story ;)

The journey has only just began... The story shall continue as the events of the on-going war unfold (when TESO comes out of course). :)

Hmmm would be a bit interested in a description, but a side from that job well done.

I am the shadow within a shadow. I will accept any job; however I will execute the target, or maybe even the person who hired me; it all depends on who has the most gold to give. Even then you can not trust me to let you walk away with your life.

I was updating it quite a bit when you posted. If not, share your thoughts! :)

Oh dear gods... Didn't update. have to do the update all over again :P

ok 2nd time correcting myself: for the love of the dear gods and daedra and aedra and pointy-ears and what-not :P I had accidentally posted this in the library section instead of the Character bio section. The one in character bio, is the correct and updated one :P

Actually, that story was meant to be my character's backround story, and somehow I managed to post it here. I've got it in the characters' bio as well, in an updated version, so feel free to keep this one or delete it, I don't mind. As for continuing the story, the backround of my char's bio is actually divided in entries, as if it were his own memoire of sorts.
