I love pets in online and single player games, it is one of my favorite part of gaming. Makes you less lonely out there in the field.

I am talking however of harmless cosmetic pets, which I think should be available for everyone, probably by doing quests to acquire them would be the best method IMO.

I do not believe that every class should have "summonable fighting pets" if it does not suit their class. Of course Conjurors would conjure fighting pets to their side; Rangers might have fighting forest pets; Wizards/Mages might create effemoral whispy fighters to aid their squishiness in combat; of course Beast Masters would be working with fighting pets. But I don't think that a Tank fighter/warrior has or needs the capacity to conjure fighting pets nor does an Assassin, for instance. A fighting pet to an Assassin might actually get in the way because fighting pets cause aggro whilst an assassin often wishes to stealthily approach his victim and dispatch him/her with little notice.

Maybe the quested for pets could be fighters if the quest is hard enough; but I am in favor of conjured fighter aides fitting the Class description and ability to conjure them.

To mention a few pets I'd like to see in TESO - of course guar for Morrowind, maybe Kwama if anyone likes them. From Cyrodiil and Skyrim might come deer, ravens, foxes, wolves, cougars (like in Cheyinhal Petshop Mod, I always get the cougar pet) bears. In Elswyer if they don't give us the four-legged Khajiits as PC choices, perhaps we could get them as accompanying fighting pets. For Summerset I have no idea. For Valenwood they'd obviously be foresty type pets.

TESO - - Multiplayer: "M'aiq does not know this word. You wish others to help you in your quest? Coward! If you must, search for the Argonian Im-Leet, or perhaps the big Nord, Rolf the Uber. They will certainly wish to join you." M'aiq the Liar.

"Va Khaj Dar - Khajiity's united? M'aiq will join!" M'aiq the Liar

I would absolutely love to have pets, as in any game I have played that had them they were a key focus for me.

If they can dish out something as magnificent as this, I don't see why not.

We already know we will have combat pets.

I'm trying to remember where I read that we would get them as animals only and not humanoid/named companions but basically the reasoning was they didn't want the SWTOR "everyone with the same companion" thing and with animals, multiples of pets makes sense.

Pet's could be amazing in TESO, imagine a hunter class where your pet could track an animal for you? Like lock on to a deer with an Eagle and the eagle could fly above it so you could just follow your eagle to find the deer? Or have a wolf track the nearest creature whether it be a rabbit or a rabbid wolf or have him drag a body to you? If you'd killed a pack of wolves and one was a range attack send him to go drag the body or even just protect it? Or use your pets as a sentry? Like have your wolf set up on a cliff overlooking an road and have him howl if he detects someone? :)

And they could have one or two dragons and not fuck with the lore but not the whole race
