If you haven't done so already, go find the poet within and submit your legendary elder scrolls limerick to the Legendary Limerick Contest and then share your works with all of us here!

There's just too many talented people out there as that I could accept their work going unpublished! And I'm notoriously curious.

To break the ice, I shall present you my humble entry first. Continue at your own risk. Don't say I didn't warn you!

The Orc Lurbuk once a love song wrote
For his chosen one the old Tounge-Toad
And as he sang with all his voice
His love heard only painful noise
lucky enough to die on the very first note

There you go! No Keats, but it rhymes!

I suspect this breaks both lore, and a few poetic conventions. But I needed the lore-break to pull off the finish, and I never was one for convention.
Hate at will:

The ancient Nord warrior, Shor
(or was he a god, I'm not sure)
has mead set aside
for brave warriors who've died;
He'll meet you at Sovngarde's shore.

Hooray! Bethesda just posted my limerick on twitter / facebook. Too bad this means I didn't win, but still, quite cool!
One fishystick if you recognize the lore reference.

Two netch crossed a low Dren plantation
When one felt a horrid sensation
The poor betty, aghast,
Exclaimed with a gasp:
One more claimed by horripilation!

HAHAHAHAA... got no clue what that's about. Gotta look up horripilation first.

But I think having your work publicized is either a hint at having written something that's considered worth for the final drawing or totally random. So it's an honour to have it posted, but this fact doesn't tell anything about the chance of winning. And if it does, yours just have increased!

Ebonheart Pact (Dunmer)
Thats a very good limerick and much better than mine.
I suppose that means I dont stand a chance.

Horripilation means goose bumps I think, but in this case it refers to the Fork of Horripilation that in Morrowind was used to slay a giant netch.
Very nice limerick :)

Thanks! I'd really like to hear yours too, Merari, but I understand if you don't want to post it anywhere until the contest is over.

Faction & Race:
Ebonheart Pact (Nord)
I'm not a master of writing or anything, but here is mine:

I once met a powerfull Nord
He drank mead because he was bored
And I heard from a bard
He joined the Dawnguard
And now he is a Vampire Lord.

Faction & Race:
Ebonheart Pact (Nord)
As a warrior I always start
A mighty Nord that fits the part
But somewhere I stagger
And become cloak and dagger
The assassin is truly my heart

This was mine:

The Altmer did see

That the Chimer might flee

The Orsimer grew tusk and snout

From Trinimac’s disapproving pout

Boethiah thus ate and squealed with glee.

Faction & Race:
Ebonheart Pact (Argonian)
An Argonian wants to be kissed
So he goes to make-out with the Hist
But then he could see:
His ex with the tree -
Which was now the last thing on his list!

Here lies a toppled god;
his fall was not a small one.
We did but build his pedestal -
a narrow and a tall one. - F.H.
Four more for forty-four!
