i have question:
Does anybody know if enchanting will exist, and if it will, how it will work. I want some bosmer badass assasin/reaper catching spirits of assasinated victims and using them for enchanting my gear or gear of others if possible.
Same question as enchanting, wil Alchemy be available?and Smithing?
Please help me with this.

I highly doubt this lol, but yes there will be crafting.

P.S. The bad-ass assasin in the Alliances video was Breton :)

I think Enchanting Alchemy and Smithing will be in TESO, Its kind of a big deal in all TES games. I don;t know if it will be available to everyone or as an ability, I gather it will be a major focus on trade.

I wonder how far you can go into smithing? could you have your own logo on armor make and design your own with a spec tree on exactly what you want? only time will tell

I don't think so. It would be very compicated and i will be satisfied with colored variations ex. Oblivion glass set not only in green, but in blue, red, white and black.
Alchemy should be enhanced . I would suggest throwing poisonous bombs, madness gas or something like this.
Enchanting too. Empower armor enchant for short period of time, and after the effect expires, item will act as unenchanted during cooldown.

Yes, crafting has been stated to be part of the game. It's one of the main ways that non combat-PvP people help with the war effort: you make weapons, armor, etc. that are then used by other players of your faction to kill the other team.

Also, I heard something regarding cultural armor (like chitin, bonemold, etc.) being unavailable to other areas unless you craft it. Quest rewards and whatnot though will keep things culturally central.

I want to be able to put guild crests on armor. I wouldn't even mind if its a preset faction logo with minor variations. This would be a very nice addition and would make crafters happier.

I agree that guild crests or coat of arms would be nice. Although I think putting it on the armor itself wouldn't be noticeable at all based on armor detailing, I think that a little section about the history of the armor would be insanely nice. In that section would have a person's personalized merchant/crafter crest.

I would love on this page if there was little bits of info such as where the majority of the materials were obtained from (merchant vs farming), the crest, what smithy was used to create it, etc. As someone who likes to craft a lot, I would be all kinds of giddy if there was something saying "Crafted by Vigk Vagk v2 at X location using materials painstakingly searched for in the Y region". Another variation from buying most of the materials would be "Crafted by Vigk Vagk v2 at X location using materials imported from all over the continent to Y". If the ways they were obtained are about equal, it could be "Crafted by Vigk Vagk v2 at X location using materials from various sources". Just thinking of that would make me want to craft practically non-stop.

Imagine this: a huge battle just happened. One of the top scorers is standing next to you, so you do some kind of examine command to see what he/she's wearing. You notice one piece that has one of those messages stating your name and how you crafted it.

Instant giddy spell for HOURS.

It would definitely be one of those unneeded but amazing to have things. It wouldn't be too hard to just have a marker in the item's code saying what the last transaction of that item was (harvested or bought) and where. Banking the item wouldn't influence the marker.

I don't think that the Enchantment and other crafting systems will work exactly the same way we have seen them work in the other Elder Scrolls games. I do believe they will be similar. My personal belief is that the Black Soul Gems, Grand Soul Gems, etc. won't come into play till late tier enchantments. And i think that the Black Soul Gems will more likely be suited towards pvp style enchantments, while the normal Soul Gems will be more suited towards pve enchantments. It would also be nice to see Soul Gems that are lower tier Black Soul Gems ex. Lesser Black Soul Gem. Also we do know that the economy of the world will be leaning more towards player professions than pve raiding for BOE (Bind On Equip) items, however poe items will still play their part in the system (with profession items being just about the same quality as the pve ones).

Hmmm maybe they could add cloaks to the game, and have the crest on the back of the cloak. This way you could make it big enough that others can see.

I have seen stuff kinda like that in WOW. The only thing different from what you said (if my memory serves me correctly) is you could only see it if you were the one who was in possession of that item (ie. you would have to be the player wearing the armor to see who made it), or maybe you could also see it on the armory.

EDIT* XD put Soul Shards not Soul Gems

I am the shadow within a shadow. I will accept any job; however I will execute the target, or maybe even the person who hired me; it all depends on who has the most gold to give. Even then you can not trust me to let you walk away with your life.

I'm very against getting black soul gems through PvP. This would be awkward, because players already had their soul taken by Molag Bal. In my opinion, that would seem like fairly bad lore-breaking. However, I would support enchantments COMING from black soul gems be more PvP orientated.

As for other systems of "this is who made it", in PWI when anything was crafted, even the basic menu of stats showed who made it in noticeable green writing. This was able to be seen by anyone looking at the armor.

I agree. I don't think that Black Soul Gems should not break the lore. I was careful to try and not say that you get them through pvp.

Great idea! It would be perfect.

And I disagree with black soul shards and gems. At that time, Mannimarco is first skilled necromancer. Maybe if you will find dark altars like in oblivion. But... PvP black soul shards are not good because players are soulless ones.

I think you have the wrong person quoted about the cloaks. That idea goes to Almerish. (I won't take credit for someone else's good idea)
