Is there only Cyrodiil for PvP Players or instanced PvP too?http://tamrielfoundry.com/development-faq/ says that there would be instanced pvp too but in the official Preview Video they said something that i understand like pvp only in cyrodiil and nothing else...
I am confused...
What do you think?

that source is outdated, as far as i know the most recent interviews state that there will only be open world PvP.

this is still very much alpha tho, everything can be subject of change.

Well, TESO is not yet ready, so just step-by-step first in battles of Cyrodiil. It is a big area, and need more controls on all zones in Cyrodiil before we can access to final room and get the Rudy Throne. I think it is a big task to control every zones. It needs to deal a big guild/Alliance group to use teamwork and order in battle, or useless if 10-50 small groups and make own goal for fun.

If you have played TES:Oblivion before, so you should know how zones is so bigger...

As far we know, TESO is mainly game for PvP as first goal, next support PvE and RP from TES lores.

Quote:Because of the megaserver technology, Cyrodiil needs to be separated into multiple instances. However, instead of random assignment of players, ZeniMax recognizes the importance of having static PvP communities for the sake of rivalry and investment in the state of the realm war. Therefore, players are assigned (or may select) a “campaign”, which is a permanent parallel version of Cyrodiil’s realm war to which they belong. Campaigns will be named after the major cities in the region.

Later of period, add expansion/patch, will add more pvp zone/arena or so...

And thank god for that!! Those stupid PvP mini-games take so much away from open-world PvP, because everyone's off playing "Capture the Flag", or some bs.

I hope they put world PvP in all the end game zones so people cant hide in the PvE content :)

Haven't they said that Cyrodiil will also contain single-play missions that will aide your faction for people who are only comfortable with PVE? Or did I imaging that? (Skooma Brain)

I love PVP and can't wait to get to Cyrodiil with Va Khaj Dar Guild for some righteous fang & claw, dagger, longsword & bow tear-their-hearts-out PVP action! I will save my righteous battle-healing talents for an Alt.

I would like them implement a merging border system. What I mean is that, the lands between each factions borders are an open land of pve and pvp. This would of course would get rid of the thought of have a solid line you cant cross. If you click this link and look at the map, the brown area's on the map could very well host a type of high lvl of pve/public dungeon, shared between two factions. Thus providing an alternate type of game play and pvp.

For example, the land east of Aldmery Dominion and south of Ebonhearth Pact would be great. And of course you can't enter there "home" land but having an area where you know there is the chance of pvp would add a much more excitement for all types of players.

This just a theory but something like this I would love personally.

Nah, there'll be regular PvE content in Cyrodiil not meant specifically to help the war effort. Most likely the PvE content there will give higher rewards to players, giving them the incentive to risk PvE'ing in an area where they can get PvPwnt

That's a good idea, but if you look at this map: http://i.imgur.com/QAg9u.jpg, you'll see that Aldmeri Dominion doesn't border any of the other factions zones, only borders are High Rock/Hammerfell and Skyrim. Giving Aldmeri an advantage, but also, less PvP-fun to engage in.

Interesting that we are seeing two different maps; but Riposte's is the actual 2nd Era map of TESO time before an Empire was formed. And there do seem to be those borwn areas between factions that they've laid out.

Perhaps ships/boats could be employed for travel to these areas by some. I mean, how do the Aldmeri get off Summerset Isles?

I'm not much of a PvPer anymore but Cyrodiil does look like it'll be a lot of fun.

I hope they include an arena too though, would be great to have an Oblivion style arena 1v1, 2v2, 3v3. I think there needs to be a competitive scene with a good ranking system to attract and keep true PvPers in the game for a long time.
