Aye - I think EP can be the strongest faction, since many players will play one server or all servers as Nords and Dunmers. Second would be DC or AD. I think EP and DC will be first conflict at TESO in-game, since they are borderline and PvP in Cyrodiil. AD is long way from southwest of Tamriel.

Look our current TESOF Race & Faction Count at main site, also other sites i have visited, EP are favors.

Not surprise since we played Morrowind and Skyrim games (Dunmers and Nords as characters) But no matter in near future will raise or down of count number.. We wait more news from TESO first. Mostly of people always charge own way as first character...

What do you think of the post?

Ebonheart Pact (Argonian)

been discussed quite a few times. as ive pointed out the lore crowd also quite likes the dominion, they also get support form the furry crowd, wich is pretty vocal in TES.
Also MMOs in general.

People that havent played TES before will go for the covenant because they got the "regular humans" and orcs, two things they can relate too.

also judging from the concept renders weve seen elves will be pretty in TESO (that be a first in tes...) therfor the dominion will get some people there too.

While the Pact will be stuck with the regular TES players, as Dunmer are ugly and therfore not realy suited for drizzt clones. And even then, there will be less Drizzt clones than people wanting to buy "sexy elves"

The Argonians have their own crowd, partly the furry one. The Nord are just humans. Also the pact consists of only realy alien provinces, with skyrim actually beeing not as much of an exception as one might think, as the typical fantasy consumer is not familiar with a proper Heroic Fantasy setting. And the barren ice cragged land of Skyrim is actually not the norm for your average not skyrim player (if those actually exist)

Not Set
I think that most can agree upon that they’ll be ”playing” or at least checking out every faction and race - I know that
I will.

I'll probably play around with every race in the Character Creator and try to play characters from the different factions and of different races. On another note I really like the look of Argonians in TESO.

I haven't really seen the elves myself and I'd like to see the Nords and Orcs closer up. The Argonians do look better than I thought they would and the Dunmer aren't bad either.

I hope they show off some character creation since I think this is probably the most fun thing in the game ;).

You have a point Sordak, I agree.

Yah, many players don't follow of TES lores, or solo own way. Very few would like to follow the lore. But they want Achievements or so.

thats cause the dont know the lore (also cause its crazy)

dispite the lore beeing draped over skyrim, it still is pretty good at hiding it. If you play Skyrim without thinking about it, there wont be much "LORE!" smashed in your face alftand beeing probably the only time when you wonder what kind of mess you got into your medieval fantasy game.

Dawnguard does slighlty better than this. Morrowind was basically all over it. But mostly cause the lore was what made the most sense compared to the other crazyness going on in Morrowind.

Morrowind was basically all VIVEC in your face.

Oblivion had none of that before shivering isles came along, one of the reasons i still say its the weakest game in the series.

The point is, TESO must educate players about it, but in all honesty it wont. Its made by different devs, pushing too much weirdness thats not even their own into a game on a highly competetive market that largeley draws on easy to understand stories is a risk they wont take.

Let us met in duel, Sordak, if we play in same server - Of course it takes time after release (explorer, raise level++) until we find each, so ready for duel, ok? I love to look how to win over a real Argonian player...Sure bad smell from you...(hirr hirr)

If TESO will have any skill in combat you wont. I played Savage, Savage 2, Rune, Everquest 2, DAOC, DotA, DotA2, HoN, GW2 and quite a few shooters too. When it comes to PvP im pretty darn good.

Do you mean you are a deadly killer and think a easy match again me? Ridiculous! Just wait and see, Argonian!

Nice since you played many games, but it does not same way no matter!

By the way guys... No servers. Errr rather...

It's all supposed to be on one "megaserver"

I honestly don't like the sound of this... it just sounds like "limitations" to me. But we'll see.

well it doesnt for me. Its actually quite the opposit of limitations. the only thing i fear about is it that that will cause 1. massive latency issues, and 2. issues for people who suck at english.

if anyone of you played dota 2, he or she will know that its got a MASSIVE problem with russians that cant speak english, to the point of most of the community turning (justified however) extremeley hostile towards them, valve actually set servers up speficially for russians, but the russians, not beeing able to read the english client, just still use the european ones.

Quite a large part of the community is screaming for a region lock now....

A Simmilar, not as bad example would be germans in Guild Wars. They have a tendency of sticking to themselves and writing in german in the allchat. Generaly not having language servers could be annoying for both people that want to speak their native langauge and people who want to speak english.

Probably these server "preferences" will work, but i just think this will cause some problems. THe idea itself is bold and awsome tho. Especialy for PvP as it means no shitty server queues ala GW2

the way i understood it, there still are more or less servers(separate copies of the same world), but instead of being rigid and absolute they can and will change, so their should be "severs" for each separate popular language.
hopefully, you won't see a language you don't know, unless you want to.

as for Lag, assuming they get a proper setup, there shouldn't be any more than a normal one. They may run each instance/server/PvP campaign as a normal MMO would (separate computers?)
