I found one Pre alpha beta tester who stated one perk from improving stamina

" Investing a few points in the stamina line when you level can help, especially since it will allow you to quickly unlock a passive ability that lets you sprint 20% faster."

Anyone post any skills/abilities you come across while digging for info on TESO.

Unrelated, but glad to see someone from one of our alliance guilds ^.^ ( I'm in Va Khaj Dar )
I have not seen any perks, but I think that having multiple perks to choose from with each line of progression will make each player that much more unique.

haha I'm all around the forum's, mostly in TESO discussion :D

But I heard each skill branches off into two. Thus one spell is really two. When the skills branch off you can follow one path and then hop over to the other side.

As far as I understood, its not each level, there are passive unlocks and morphs. When you unlock a morph level, you choose from 2 ways to enhance or alter your ability. Like adding a snare or a stun or DoT. Its not completely different, just evolved

It's not just morph levels, It's weapons, health, magika, stamina, armor. Everything you use has a branch of skills to add different types of abilities when you wear or use them.

Yup, what im trying to say is that:

- by each level I ment each level of a skill, whether its weapon, armor, class or character advancement
- one spell isnt two, its fireball + little aoe or its fireball + little DoT, but still in essence its still a fireball

Yeah that's exactly what I mean. But if you think about it, you have a choice of getting 2 diffrent TYPES of spells with one. Since It branches. I understand that yeah it's still a fireball but now you have the AoE fireball or DoT fireball. So yeah we're basically on the same page.

I assume both versions of a fireball would do same average damage so the choice is really more a playstyle decision. Such decisions would really put an arrow in the knee to minmax "the 1 build to rule them all" players. Basicly alter personal preference only without making obvious winner paths.

It does give perfect sense to me from developer point of view. Having skills of different power, perhaps with some more resource cost already open up possibility of builds with maxing that resource and its regen in order to exploit the high powered ability

I think it's a great idea that NO mmo has ever come up with. It's great for tactics, and it will ultimately decide how you will fight in PVP. Your probably right on the whole average damage, the AoE will just do extra damage to groups of players so you'll just stay back and attack. The DoT might be good for picking players off and good strategy for a battle mage. It's really gonna decide how you pick your perks in game. Stamina, Magicka and Health are gonna play a vital role now.

Sounds like they're going to put a major effort on this area of the game, balancing and making the leveling area a smooth transition in game will be one of those that will be a bit difficult since they did say they wanted those players who haven't played a Elders Scrolls to have that MMORPG feel but keeping TES attributes for those who love the game.

They're doing alot of the balancing right now actually. So far their in development of a new Class that should be released soon. But this is gonna be balanced out alot after they have the Alpha test's, Closed Beta and Open Beta. THEY GOTA LOT OF TWEAKING TO DOOOOO!!

Sordak is talkin about glyphs, where they give you a chance to slightly alter the function usually increase dmg or add effect at the cost of longer cooldown or simmilar restriction

TESO improves the the mechanic by giving you direct choice of 2 enhancements without any restriction, like Bioware did in Mass Effect. Obviously the concept is around for a while.
