Ebonheart Pact (Dunmer)
So, I just looked over the Ask Us Anything: Ebonheart Pact, Part 2, and saw that house Telvanni isn't joining the Pact which adds to their isolationist image I suppose. I also noticed quite a few of you (including me) were planning on making Telvanni Dunmer. So my question is to those people specifically

Will you be changing your character now that the telvanni has refused the Ebonheart Pact? ( I know I will! )

P.S. linking quote.

Quote:Last time we had the chance of discovering the land of Morrowind, the different feelings to the Great Houses and the House Wars was one of the most intriguing aspects to the game. Will we have an opportunity to join the houses? If so, which of them will be joinable? I just so loved the mushroom houses. – By Greg

The rivalries between the Dunmer Great Houses have deep roots, and they are all important players in the politics of Morrowind. In fact, House Telvanni – they of the mushroom towers – are estranged from the other Houses at the time of ESO, and refused to join the Ebonheart Pact. (We’ll share more about them in the future, you can be sure.) Your characters will have opportunities to help (or hinder) all the other Great Houses of Morrowind, though formal adoption into their ranks won’t be part of the game at launch.

Not Set
I'm not sure,I was planning to make a telvanni dunmer. I just played the telvanni questline in morrowind and I actually found out that neither the telvanni nor sadith mora itself was bad at all. I may have to change that to a dunmer (battle)mage or something similar(at least an alt).

to me its more interresting how the telvanni are beeing tackled. probably they will be the enemies well be fighting in morrowind? at least some of them?
GW2 did alot of this (basically every race had a "Bad" version of them to kill)
Not sure if id like this aproach. but id like some telvanni agents beeing tied in some of the nasty stuff happening would definitly be a touch id enjoy.

If I make a dunmer, its going to be a Telvanni member anyways. Just kinda separated who decided to support Ebonheart Pact, although member of the House.

Don't worry about it. I plan to spend my first fifty levels dragging the Great House Telvanni kicking and screaming into the Ebonheart Pact by killing their Archmagister, taking that position for myself, and killing every Telvanni govenor who opposes the Pact.

Gotta love the way Great House Telvanni functions.

A strong arm to slay the weak.

An iron heart that knows no fear.

And a foul mouth to boast about it!

Such are the virtues of the pact!

Maybe after that you can ban slavery of argonians?

That's pretty much a given. Though now that I think of it, maybe Telvanni didn't want to join the Pact simply because they didn't want to lose their scale-slaves. Not that I'm giving them a choice or anything. Just saying.

I am not to butt hurt about Telvanni not being a part of the pact. As a Telvanni mage my character picked up and left her patron when her house decided they were going to stand aside. She did not believe this to be the right move on their part so she left and sought out others that felt that fighting this war was needed. I had originally planned to have someone trying to kill her and that's why she left house telvanni but the info they gave us on Telvanni's position in the war is a good reason for her to leave as well so I'm going to change that.

Hello. I'm new on this forum, ang log-in only to answer to this question :

"Will you be changing your character now that the telvanni has refused the Ebonheart Pact?"

NEVER. It's a shame. Telvannis are a powerful and charismatic Great House since 2003, a lot of players around the world love them, more than Redoran or Dres... And they will be turn into some Defias Brotherhood ?

I will play a dunmer, and I will play a Telvanni. The first Indoril peasant who ask me to kill some telvanni in his field, I'll burn him, his family, his guar, I put his carbonized head on a spear and I throw it to the devs.

SHAME !

The Telvanni are cowards, Redoran are where the best dunmer are. Redoran singlehandedly saved morrowind from the argonian invasion, that's pretty brave for a bunch of elves :P

Death to Queen Ayrenn!
Down with the covenant!
Glory to the pact!

Xhuvara - Argonian guerrilla fighter and leader of the shadow fangs

Azhir - Redguard knight dedicated to the art of war

Although ZoS did say that the Telvanni have refused to join the Ebonheart Pact, I believe we will see some of their NPCs still present in the world. There's also this understandable assumption that because the Telvanni have not joined the Ebonheart Pact, that that means they are enemies of the faction and thus our characters-- which may not be true. I'm sure like true Telvanni, they will have their helpful, neutral, and hostile characters present in TESO on release and in future updates!

Character Profiles:
Endaros Ilmori - Buoyant Armiger
Sunrio - Aldmeri Justiciar

Taren Jucanis - Imperial Deserter (Used for The Black Shroud RP)

I hope you are in the truth. But as a Telvanni, my character cannot be considered by some telvanni NPCs as a n'wah.
This sentence "Your characters will have opportunities to help (or hinder) all the other Great Houses of Morrowind" does mean we won't help or hinder Great House Telvanni.

I Really want an adoption system for all the Great Houses of Morrowind : Redoran, Telvanni, Hlaalu, Dres, Indoril and Dagoth (though Dagoth will probably be the ennemy...)
