Now that we know that there will be "some" presence of TESO at this years Gamescom, I was wondering who else might be going there and if we should compile a list of questions, just in case we can get hold of a developer.

Of course we should meet for a Kölsch or ten at the very least.

They will have 2 booths so yeah i am convinced we will see something. by something i mean we will see what the press saw at E3, nameley a bit of combat and the short PvP clip.

Regarding the Gamescom, cant be there, but that wont be a problem as i, as an austrian dispise kölsch wich in my opinion should not be called beer, because its terrible. Im currently drunk on real beer, austrian one. Seriously why are you drinking that light beer? It lacks taste.

Ah, it's Kölsch and not beer. You've got take it as it's own kind. And it's a matter of tradition, as I always drink the local brew when travelling. Once had a uzbekian beer that tasted like a mix of really bad redwine and stale remnants of a fluid that once might have been beer.

well that is understandable.
I generaly like Bavarian beers, they are kinda simmilar to ours. The Greek have some good beers too on some of the Islands, most of it is pretty terrible tho, but belgium is beer heaven. But id certainly try that uzbekian beer. Just for kicks.

Don't think they are allowed to sell that stuff in the EU. Now that I think about it, I'm not entirely sure if they were in Uzbekistan. But it came bottled. Was the worst thing ever and ever after.

So, anyone else going? Any questions? Otherwise I'll just stick to the plan to acquire Maria's phone number.

I think Sordak just asked in that other thread:

"Can you go to Cyrodiil at level 1 and level solely by pvping?"

We really should compile a list of a few questions. Even if we can't get them answered @GC you could post them as a community effort on the official temporary boards.

All this talk about beer is making me want to drink. I'm more of a hard liquor guy myself though.

I won't be at Gamescom. I've only ever been to Germany twice, and it wasn't for pleasure. I'd like to, though, especially for TESO. But seeing as how it won't be their main focus, I'm not too worried about it.

A list of questions is a good idea, we should get our hands on anything we can get.

Deveron someone who was at E3 said he actually came to speak with the devs, since you go to Gamescon YOU can ask the question, not for the official board but for the TESOF board (so we get some representation :P)

a few Questions from me:

-Will we be able to enter RvR from level 1 (and will it be viable)
-Will the Houses in Alinor be made out of crystalized light and Insect wings
-Wich cities will be in the Game and what size is an average MAIN City (clarify that you dont mean VILLAGES they love to cheat them out of the question with that)
-Will the native Armors come back (Chitin, Bonemold, Dreugh and so on)
-Will they actually bother to make a unique world or will they try to cheat them out of anything that is too unusual.
-Can you make a Warrior work without having to use the heaviest Armor type. To clarify: with WORK i mean competetive. Can i play him and not suck. A healer Warrior will never be as good as a regular healer (They already clarified that, and i find it awfull) so i want to know if i can be competetive with a light Armor Warrior that is based around dodging attacks instead of blocking them and using a Claymore

If ESO won't have much of a presence at Gamescom, when will it? I suppose they could make an appearance at PAX Prime, but I'm under the impression they may not share anything new about the game until next year. With that being said, it looks like we'll have to wait for E3 2013 for any real news.

It's also likely the game won't be released until the third or fourth quarter of next year. If that is true, BETA will likely start sometime around E3 or shortly after. If Matt Firor was serious about having a long and big BETA cycle, I would expect that to begin a little under a year before release.

A year from release really isn't a long time and I'm really curious to know where ZOS is in development and how the game is coming along. They only have one chance to launch, so hopefully they are on schedule and won't have to release a game that wasn't ready for launch like SWTOR.

They said BETA will be next year.
However they got two booths at Gamescom, of course they will show it.
And hopefully someone of us actually catches a glimpse of them, and by that means goes inquiring on them.

I'm aware BETA will be next year. I'm just pondering when exactly it's going to start as BETA will be essential for a smooth launch. While it may have a presence at Gamescom, I'll be surprised if they reveal anything new.

The Community Manager for ESO already stated most of their presence at Gamescom will be dedicated towards Dishonored. If someone here by chance does go, please ask questions that we don't already know the answers to. They likely will give the standard "we aren't ready to talk about that," but it's always worth a shot.

Keep those questions coming!

We can have a poll later, should we end up with too many. And if noone else will be going or I'm the first to be there I'll try to find someone to get them answered.

Just a few questions you may consider:

-Will a single province be one large persistent world (Darkfall)? Or will it be divided into different zones (SWTOR)?
-Are you planning on having a fast-paced RvR or one that is slower?
-Will there be actual crafting professions (blacksmitch, enchanter, alchemist)?
-Will players of a faction be restricted to their faction's provinces, besides Cyrodiil?
-Are you planning to provide different server types (PvP, PvE, RP)?
-Are there any fun social features/activities/mini-games to participate in when not doing RvR, raiding, PvE, battlegrounds, etc.?
-What are your plans for player-created guilds and what benefit will a player gain from joining one?
-Are you planning on implementing a bounty/karma system similar to the TES games where players could be punished and hunted for committing crimes? Could players be bounty hunters?
-Are you planning on having any sort of incapacitation state for players where a killing blow is necessary?
-Will weapons and armor decay (Morrowind and Oblivion) or will they be indestructible and not need repairs (Skyrim)?
-Will Jeremy Soule (Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim) be composing the music for ESO?
-Will there be dynamic weather in ESO? Or will environments be static, besides the day/night cycles shown?
-Will you have static npc mobs distributed throughout the world, or will npcs be spawned dynamically depending on who is in the area?

Great questions. I can answer one that I heard in an interview:

Quote:-Is the world of Tamriel being hand-crafted by ZOS or is it being randomly-generated?

According to the interview, everything is being done by hand by the world creators. Down to each tree.
