Uzgrok Gro-Yamog, was having the most fun in days, tavern brawling. He licked his tusks as a Nord man raised a chair and charged but Uzgrok grabed both of his arms and headbutted the man and he crumpled to the floor. As he turned he noticed a Breton trembling in the corner.

"What are you staring at boy" he growled at the Breton. "I-I-I have a letter for you sir" he stuttered nervously passing a letter with a trembling hand. Uzgrok took the letter and the Breton fled out the door, Uzgrok chuckled as he read the letter he was used to that, the letter read this:

Uzgrok Gro Yamog.

You have been chosen among a group of experienced adventurers such as yourself by I lord Maximus of Colovia to retrieve an ancient family heirloom of mine, the ring of Maximus.

You and your group will be rewarded 50,000 gold pieces each for the return of my heirloom.

My sources have revealed it to be in a dungeon called simply 'The Maw' by most though the real name is Maltatatar.

The dungeon is feared by many and is located along the coast of Blackwood and will undoubtedly be full of horrors of all sort and many traps. It will be a perilous task but the reward will be great and the glory greater.

Lord Maximus.

Uzgrok pondered this, he had heard of the Maw before but never attempted to go into it and the letter said he would work with others, that wasn't thrilling he was usually better alone.

But if the letter was true and they were experienced then they were probably worth fighting beside and the reward and glory would be great. He drank a tall mug of beer, slung his shield onto his back, readjusted his sword and walked out of the tavern and towards Blackwood.

The lock clicking open was music to Nevarine's ears. The dagger trembled slightly in his hand. He didn't feel nervous, as this was not new to him, but the rush of trespassing never faded. The tyrant's throat was slit before he could do as much as blink. Nevarine exited through the front door to face another Dunmer, wearing steel armour. Nevarine raised his arm to ready a spell. But the man simply dropped a strange note in his ready hand before leaving. Nevarine opened the note and read it.

Nevarine Modreyn

You have been chosen among a group of experienced adventurers such as yourself by I lord Maximus of Colovia to retrieve an ancient family heirloom of mine, the ring of Maximus.

You and your group will be rewarded 50,000 gold pieces each for the return of my heirloom.

Lord Maximus.

Nevarine looked out among the skies of northern Argonia whilst pondering his next course of action. He was more comfortable working on his own but it would be a new challenge. He decided to trust his instincts and headed south-west towards Blackwood.

Aron Terrius muttered prayers under his breath as he knelt before the shrine. The chapel was quiet other than the whispers of the priests who were also praying. The quiet was then interrupted by the heavy footsteps of a tired courier. He approached Aron,

"Aron Terrius? Is that you?" The Imperial quickly finished his prayers and stood to greet the courier. "Yes, that is my name. Did you need something?" The courier rustled around in his bag and pulled out a letter, "This is for you." Aron took the letter and gave the young man a few pieces of gold. The letter read:

Aron Terrius

You have been chosen among a group of experienced adventurers such as yourself by I lord Maximus of Colovia to retrieve an ancient family heirloom of mine, the ring of Maximus.

You and your group will be rewarded 50,000 gold pieces each for the return of my heirloom.

Lord Maximus.

Aron pondered the task. It had been several years since he last went on any sort of adventure, though the thought of delving into a dungeon was quite enticing. He decided to take this Lord Maximus up on his offer and went to retrieve his old gear.

Stor Cold-Heart laughed as he read the letter. 50,000 gold? And for each of us? That means there will be more?, he thought to himself. Surely they could save a lot of money by only hiring him? This was probably just people trying to lure him in to some sort of trap. But whatever it was, he was sure he could handle it.

He, his sister, and his father had been visiting family in Cheydinhal. If he could get his 50,000 gold, he wouldn't have to hunt to feed his family anymore. Maybe, he could start his own?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After, explaining the desperateness of his trip, Stor made his way down to Blackwood, carrying with him his battle-axe and bow & arrows (battle-axe in hand, bow & arrows on the back). He didnt usually bring both weapons to anything, but today, he felt like he might need both.
Uzgrok hacked his way through the marshy terrain of Blackwood, he hated marshes his armor weighed a lot and he sunk into the mud with every step.
Just when he was going to yell some choice suggestions on where that lord could put that coin, the marsh gave way to the River Niben. 'Bout time he thought and looked to the north and grunted.
About a mile ahead there was a large cliff, and in the middle the stone a small overhang of rock covered elaborate Ayleid stonework and a large stone door covered in glowing markings of some sort. Some small stalactites and stalagmites had formed in front of the door giving the appearance of the maw of a large beast.
Uzgrok headed toward the door and upon reaching it noticed more little markings and realized they were magic wards. he took this as a good time to rest and wait for the others to arrive and made camp outside the door.
Nevarine wandered through the thick swamps of what he assumed was Blackwood. He dreaded the place. He was light on his feet, which made walking through the swamps easier, but he was not fond of the creatures. The will-o-the-wisps were hard to see and the land dreughs were hard to kill. Exhausted, Nevarine was relieved to stumble onto a small village of mainly Argonians.
They pointed him in the direction of the ruin, but warned him that it was dangerous. He shrugged off the warnings and went on his way. Within a few minutes, he saw in the distance a cliff with a strange architecture that matched the description of what he was looking for. From a distance he saw an orc sitting outside the door.
He assumed that this was another adventure that had been chosen by Lord Maximus. The thought that he might be sided with the Daggerfall Covenent made Nevarine uneasy, but he tossed that thought aside. He wanted to at least try and make the arrangement work. He casually approached the orc.
Dular gro-Bar wiped the sweat of his head as he was taking out of a forge his new steel heavy armour. He put it next to his new sword, shield, and bow. He only takes his bow just in case there is an enemy far away and he doesn't want to get noticed. He sat down and started to read "The Code Of Malacath". He stood up as he saw a man running towards him. "I have a message for you, Dular gro-Bar right?"He said. Dular took the note and read it
"Dular gro-Bar.
You have been chosen among a group of experienced adventurers such as yourself by I lord Maximus of Colovia to retrieve an ancient family heirloom of mine, the ring of Maximus.
Lord Maximus."
Dular put the note in his bag and grabbed his equipment. "Good thing I forged everything today" He said.
He went off, on his journey he saw a camp fire nearby, he took out his bow and crouched, he took an arrow out and walked towards the orc that was sitting there. "Who are you, are you one of the adventurers sent by Lord Maximus!"
He shouted.
Uzgrok saw a Dunmer approach him "wonderful" he thought but was somewhat glad that one of the group had arrived.
"Are you one of the team too?" he asked the newcomer as he arrived.
No sooner had he asked the question he heard a shout but the voice was much deeper than that of a Dunmer.
He looked around and saw one of his kin clad in steel pointing an arrow at him. "indeed" he shouted back slightly amused at the arrow aimed at him, his Orichalcum armor would easily protect him from steel arrows "are you?" he shouted at the other Orc.
"Dular gro-Bar, sent by Lord Maximus, who are you fellow orc?" Dular gro-Bar said as he was putting his arrow back. Dular thought it must of been one of the travelers from the group because the other orc seemed like he had no fear, as Maximus said thew were experienced.
"Uzgrok gro-Yamog" he replied getting up and reaching out his hand to greet his kinsman glad that another Orc was part of the company that Maximus had assembled "an honor friend".
Nevarine stood there in silence. The sight of the two Orcs almost ready to fight amused him. He decided that it was best to let this play out and he hoped that somebody, preferably another Dunmer would soon show up. The thought of these two Orcs forming an alliance against him was not pleasant. None the less, he would wait it out.
It felt like the right moment now to speak. ''Nevarine Modreyn of Morrowind'', he said.
After reaching a small town in Blackwood, he asked for directions to the Maw. As he headed in that direction, he came upon a set of tracks, in the shape of footprints, eventually leading him to an Orc with a drawn bow, just as a Dunmer finished saying "Morrowind", facing away from him. He smirked, as he was aiming at another Orc. And they said the Ebonheart Pact couldn't get along.
A cloaked Dunmer apporoached a group noticing they were all either aiming weapons at each other or smirking. He thought maybe he could break this up, "You all received a letter too?"
''Yeah I suppose,'' Nevarine said, eagerly trying to bring up a slightly more pleasant atmosphere. ''Is anybody else coming? Or are you all just as clueless as me?''
"Lets assume others are coming, if he wants that ring badly enough to spend that kind of coin there must be some serious danger inside." Uzgrok said gesturing to the door.
"We may as well wait a while just in case. If we're going to be doing this together we may as well know each others name, I'm Uzgrok gro-Yamog."
