What feature(s) from any other MMO's/Games would you like to see in TESO?

If you could hand pick certain features from other MMO's you've played and add them to TESO, which ones would you choose?

Here's a few off the top of my head that I enjoyed in other games...

Age of Conan - Fatalities

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVy-Ru-16Dk - this is just one example but there are many many more depending on class/weapons. Here is another:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pla...MvkM#t=14s

Basically, there's a chance of doing a wicked fatality execution when you kill your enemy and there's a strange sort of very satisfying feeling you get. While you do these fairly quick fatalities, you do not take damage from any other enemy.

Lord of the Rings Online - Playing Music via ABC Notation

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pla...P6lCY#t=9s

Using ABC notation, you can save text files with the notes to music and PLAY music in game by entering a command like /play_songtitle or something like that (it's been a while). Alternatively, you can also play instruments by pressing numbers 1-9 I think.

I remember pulling out a loot and playing 'We Will Rock You' before venturing into dungeons with friends, and just sitting around a camp fire at night playing random songs like Moonlight Sonata.

Would be awesome to have the possibility to be an actual bard in TES:O by playing the lute, flute, drum or whatever. Oh, the possibilities. I want to walk around and play Candy Shop.

we know that there are killmoves already.
Tho they certainly wont be as brutal as in AoC. The rating indicates that there probably wont even be blood.

If no blood that will be 99% of the Nord population rage quitting straight of the mark! :)

I would like to see the dye system they had in Ultima Online, and Paul Sage should know exactly what I am talking about seeing as he was on the UO Dev team. With that dye system the player could literally create millions of different colors and you were known by the color you wore because basically the only way someone could have the same color would be if you dyed their item for them.

I would also love it if they could add something like the Diplomacy Skill in Vanguard Saga of Heroes. It is literally a whole other game within the game. Its a mini card game but the cards are how the player expresses themselves in a parley with an NPC. The player as they level their Diplomacy they are sent on missions to form treaties, agreements in trade, even talking soldiers into going back to doing their duty, and when successful the player received time buffs usually up to an hour duration or more. Later levels in diplomacy would have things where players could sway all the officials in a city and then that city was the crafting hub of the game because all crafters there got a bonus from the work of those diplomats. Here is a link if anyone wants to read more about diplomacy: http://www.thetelonproject.com/diplomacy

Another thing Diplomacy did with Vanguard was that it really made the world seem more alive because here you were forming treaties, trade agreements, etc and that made it feel more like these NPC's actually did live there.

Debating with someone on the Internet is like mudwrestling with a pig. You get filthy and the pig loves it

I'm definitely all for a great diplomacy system! Not even because I would want to take part... but because I love the idea of players out there doing their political things and it opens the world up all sorts of stuff... shady dealings, benefits for a town/territory when the political leader is doing well, etc.

I would love to see some form of espionage.

It could be accomplished by allowing races to "betray" factions and join another side. Which you could do in EQ2, so that would be a feature I would love to see. So sort of quest series to betray your alliegance and in doing so join another side.

It would also solve some people concerns about questing with friends of different races.

One of my favourite missions in Age of Conan had to do with sneaking past some enemies, climbing up onto a rooftop vantage point from where I could stealth-fully overhear a conversation.

This kind of espionage could easily be done and I must say is quite fun - trying to get the information and get out without ever being detected.

Yes, but the EQ2 quests are incredibly hard when you want to defect. It's much easier to roll another character.

TESO - - Multiplayer: "M'aiq does not know this word. You wish others to help you in your quest? Coward! If you must, search for the Argonian Im-Leet, or perhaps the big Nord, Rolf the Uber. They will certainly wish to join you." M'aiq the Liar.

"Va Khaj Dar - Khajiity's united? M'aiq will join!" M'aiq the Liar

Unfortunately, I've heard that you absolutely will not be able to betray your faction. Too many people would do that, making the whole deal of race alliances completely pointless. I've heard something about the fact you won't be able to really even talk to people in other factions. That way they don't start talking and going "We'll just take turns capturing this keep so we can all get exp and whatnot". However, when asking about guilds in an interview with someone on the production team, they STRONGLY hinted that guilds can be cross-faction.

In other words: almost a definite no to betraying your faction. No clue about communication across faction.

I don't think it should be easy to defect.

First, you have to give up who you are in society.
Then, you have to prove you are willing to be true to the other faction.
And then, you have to keep proving yourself.

Sounds like a lot of fun to me.

I also like the idea of sneaking in to the enemy and picking up information. Although we know for now you are locked out of their area... but a future expansion built around espionage would be great.
