First of all we will have thrust slash overhead swings

but as well traversed fans know the first two hotkeys of your ability bar will be defined by your equiped weapons.

Saying this means huge amount of possible attacks are at hand for each weapon type.

Would you like to see a dual weild dagger attack that gives a burst of 5 thrusts when used or twohanded axe whirlwind attack or a dual overhead slash with two hand axes..possibilties are huge.

So what would you like to see ;)

-Vertical mace attack whose sound effect is either a *clank* when hitting someone wearing decent armor, or a nasty *thud* when hitting someone with a robe or light armor (reduces armor by X%)

-Horizontal mace attack that sweeps your opponent's legs (knockdown).

-Horizontal mace combo attack that strikes the enemy's arm (maybe reducing attack speed or hit chance)

-shield bash (interrupt or daze)

-shield bash+weapon strike combo

-heavy shield bash (stun)

Just to name a few....

Basic attack and power attack are available with all weapons. The additional attack based on weapon type would probably feature addtional effects such as bleeds, snares, stuns, cleave attacks and simmilar

Debating with someone on the Internet is like mudwrestling with a pig. You get filthy and the pig loves it

I just wish it was more like a real ES game where there is hit detection through the entire arc of the blade so that you can hit multiple targets with one swing. I guess I can get used to combat eventually but this is how it is currently....

In essence, you can attack or use abilities only if your targeting reticle is currently over a valid target, so if you and three of your best buddies are going to town on some hapless zombie, it's pretty easy for abilities to simply not trigger because your friend's attack animation put his pinkie finger in the way of your targeting reticle. I'm admittedly a bit disappointed that there's no real-time hit detection, so you can't simply swing your sword and hit the enemies in the arc of the blade, and there doesn't seem to be any way to dodge incoming projectiles. I can understand why those things can be problematic to implement, but the current targeting system needs a great deal of work

I got this from this link: ESO combat
