What would be some cool guild "buffs"?

Sorry if there has already been a post about this.

Seeing as guilds will probably be extremely popular, what benefits do you think we should have for joining one or being in a top guild or something like that? Maybe if you team up with your guild mates you get a bonus in combat? It would be cool to have benefits but it shouldn't be too easy otherwise everyone would have them.

Do you think as Guild leveling/perk?

Guild Perks are a tricky thing to master. They are usually not powerful enough or to powerful they don't ever tend to fall in between, or they are really hard to achieve for smaller guilds, for example in WoW getting to level 25 Guild was a long a tedious journey if you were part of a small guild.

a Guild Bank is a must.
Guild Emblems (tabard, or my personal favourite the ability to have it painted onto your shield or stitched into a cloak)
Guild Banners was a good perk that GW2 did, you were able to drop a Guild Banner and receive a specific kind of buff, Karma Increase (form of currency), Magic Find, EXP, etc.

The ability to summon guild members to your location is kind of a cool idea, WoW had this but it was removed in MoP expansion/Patch

True, but we can also join multiple guilds, so how to show emblem on the cloak and shield...Possible own character can wear emblem...big mistake if two different emblems on...

I really enjoyed how guilds functioned in Warhammer, namely the banner system. For those who don't know, assigning certain guildmembers as heralds allowed them to carry a guild banner, which buffed nearby units, into battle. There were different banners; each with different perks.

Besides that they had the generic, do x thing x% better kind of perks too as well as utility abilities.

Oh and sweet mounts at max rank.

Guild colors for each unit is a must as well.

definitley something to show colours with, a tabard makes the most sense, probably also the most lore apropriate way of doing it. a guild emblem on your armor would be even cooler but harder to make.

as for actual rewards, definitley things such as crafting, also PvP rewards such as a better coordination tools in the PvP, seeing all your guildmates highlighted on the map, also lesser repair costs for your equipment (that tends to be a major thing in pvP)
Outside of PvP travel options: basically a teleport to a raid. Thats a big one. But most MMORPG already have that anyway.

And since one warrior class is said to be able to stick a flag in the ground, i want the flag to show the guild emblem.

Nothing like representing your guild, and I agree with your ideas. But what is a Guild bank used for?

I like some of the guild benefits in Everquest 2 - namely that the guild banner can be dropped by one member at a distant location, like a city fair or a battle location, and all the guild members can then teleport there via the guild banner.

Also, there is a lot of unique and useful furniture including various crafting stations that only guild members can buy and place in their guild hall or houses.

TESO - - Multiplayer: "M'aiq does not know this word. You wish others to help you in your quest? Coward! If you must, search for the Argonian Im-Leet, or perhaps the big Nord, Rolf the Uber. They will certainly wish to join you." M'aiq the Liar.

"Va Khaj Dar - Khajiity's united? M'aiq will join!" M'aiq the Liar

Sounds like good ideas. Speaking of which. Would you expect a guild base to be a part of the whole guild experience? Or just a group of people who roam together. It would be nice to have uniquely decorated guild hall that represented the values of the guild. Hopefully there will be. (I'm new to the MMORPG scene and I am not aware of the "Must-haves" in this game genre)

I would love to have guild halls or seige halls - a place to stage the battle from and a great place to gather with your guild comrades before and especially after battles and drink/smoke it up around roaring fires while the days battle heroics are woven into myths. I like this idea mucho!

I would love to see player housing eventually, but guild halls are a must! They've said there will be crafting too so maybe crafting could be done at the guild halls as well.
