Faction & Race:
Aldmeri Dominion
Write down what you think would happen if each of the factions ruled the Empire.
The upsides and downsides and other things.
There's not much going on in the lore section (At least in new threads), so i decided to post something.

Tamriel, Dawns beauty, is a land filled with wonders ready to be found

Dunmer had no qualms about keeping other mer as slaves in 3rd era. I doubt something had been different thousand years before.

If Covenant ruled the Empire:
Bretons keep warring among each other, Redguard Forbears and Crowns keep hating each other. Both races teaming up to dispatch Orcs every time they try to establish an Orsinium. Altmer sticking to their Dominion till some Nord/Breton/Atmoran upstart brings it down with Numidium. Bosmer living their lives not caring they are in some Dominion. Khajiit being idependent, exporting skooma to Tamriel, selling their own to Dunmer as slaves and warring with Bosmer. Nords switching sides (again) and helping Covenant re-establish the Empire, claiming they've won and taking all the credit for it. Dunmer keep to themselves, returning to the usual habit of hating outlanders and raiding Black March for slaves. As for Argonians, no one cares about them or their province. Except Dunmer. They like their Argonian maids.

Pretty much the ol' same Tamriel äs it've always been.

Ebonheart Pact (Nord)
An Ebonheart pact Empire makes for a peaceful & stable empire, any other kind of empire is just warmongering for the sake of warmongering.

(This is brought to you by the Ebonheart Pact's Ministry for a Peaceful Empire.)

The Aldmeri Dominion would be the worst case scenario for their subjects, as they so stringently want to impose their cultural ideals and beliefs on everybody else. In the past, groups like the Nords and eastern Cyrodiils fought bloody wars to expel Elven beliefs and doctrines from their lands. I really doubt they'd sit idly by while the Thalmor burned temples to Shezarr and Kyne to erect temples to Auriel and Syrabane. It would be a type of fascism with a lot of internal conflict simply because the Aldmeri are unwavering in their superiority complex.

The Daggerfall Covenant seems intent on promoting Human supremacy and trying to convert everyone to Divines worship. It's clear from the interactive map that the Orcs are only being used because it's handy to have their smithing and martial abilities. Their shrines to Malauch are barely tolerated and they're not treated as first class citizens. I worry the Dunmer, Argonians and other races with unorthodox beliefs would be persecuted by the Breton high culture.

King Jorunn of the Ebonheart Pact lists his main reason for joining the countries of Skyrim, Morrowind and Black Marsh to be to resist slavemasters and tyrants. Of the three faction rulers, it seems Skyrim is the least intent on forcing their religion on others. In fact, if historical and future events are any indication the Nords are often the most liberal in accepting others' beliefs as long as it's not forced on them. To give an example, the books about Alessia and the Divines mention she worked with the Nords to develop a religious doctrine including both Nordic and Elven gods, and she got them to agree to it. In the future, when Red Mountain erupts and the Nord high king gives Solstheim to the Dunmer, one of the provisions of the treaty is that they can freely worship in the traditional Dunmer fashion. These clues make me believe Ebonheart is probably the most open minded and secular of the factions.
