I think three:

1) Military commander Hannibal Barca from Carthage / Nightmare for Rome (247 until 182 BC)

2) Frederick the Great / Well known from King in Prussia (1740–1772) and a King of Prussia (1772–1786)

3) Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson, CSA general (civil war in USA) - (1824- 1863)

You then?

Boudicca was a bad tactic in last battle, how she lost about 80.000, against Roman lost 400 only.

Arminius was just a single battle in forest how roman not could defense..Fool roman general.

Genghis Khan... A good one who slain millions of Chinese and Muslim people, but i mean Attila the Huns, was the best killer...and he was been tricked a wrong woman who in love, poisoned. (Saw film, but histories is well unknown why he died unexpected, many theories)

The battle call "Teutoburg Forest". And read of Arminius history if you dare.

Genghis Khan and his empire almost conquered entire Eurasia (ok, Genghis and his decendants). If the Mongolian empire had continued to expand towards Europe, we wouldn't have had a chance against their armies. Genghis is also related to about 5% (if I'm correct) of the east-asian population....

On the other hand, the mongolians also killed the Assassins of Masyaf (the assassins that the "Assassin's Creed" series is based of) :/

Well, they did many way to stop Europe or Africa (thank of Crusaders too), plus problem: New leader after Genghis Khan children died, they must back to Mongolian main city to create new Khan as event... And The Mongolian Empire was for BIGGER, they needed better control and stay armies, but until lost control from China, India, Persia.... and they did try to conquer Japan, but Sea god from Japan wish not :)
Plus they try conquer southwest of Asia, but they won reason they know how own country than the monglian armies (they were best in cavalry, but not soldiers). No sea-power.

A big empire is always hard to rule...

I am going to nominate someone different than the rather obvious great military leaders: Attila, Napoleon, Genghis, Caesar, Augustus, Sun Tzu, Saladin, etc.

Valdemar Atterdag. The nickname means "New Day" or "New Dawn", depending on how you wish to interpret it. Here is why: When he became king he had nothing. The entirety of Denmark was in debt to German dukes, Estonia had been sold off completely, likewise Skåneland (an integral part of Denmark at the time) had been sold off to the Swedish king. It looked as if Denmark was gone, yet Valdemar managed the seemingly impossible: He paid back the debts to the German dukes, and those he could not he took the land from by force. He even managed to reconquer Skåneland from Sweden and was at odds several times with the Hansa (A major mercantile power in the region at the time, usually hired mercenaries to do their wars and had a large merchant navy). Aside of that he wed his daughter to the Norwegian king to forge a personal union that would last until Napoleon, and set the formation of the Kalmar Union in motion. During the course of his life he brought Denmark from extreme ruin and poverty to greatness. That requires some strategic ability.

/nationalism :D

Augustus never a good strategic general, he got support of own generals, they did good job than Augustus. He went to be power after Caesar, the first roman emperor..

Napoleon did good in beginning and middle, but failed against Egypt and Russia, and Waterloo. It sounds same way as Hilter too, failed Egypt and Russia..

Sun Tzu (544–496 BC) was a GREAT writer of "The Art of War"..
