So how did you get into the series?
What was the first game you played?
What was the first TES game you actually completed the main story in?
How many TES games have you completed thus far?
What TES game are you currently playing?

I first got into the series back in 2007 with Morrowind Game of the Year Edition for the PC. I played it off and on for about 2 months with my play time maybe being around 15ish or so hours. I must admit I really did not like the game that much. The one thing I did like however were all of the books you could pick up and read. However I loathed the combat in the game. I eventually sold it when I sold a lot of my PC games.

In February of 2011 I was looking at some Elder Scrolls stuff online and noticed that you could get Arena for free from Bethesda's sight. I read a little bit about it and decided to give it a shoot. Needless to say I fell in love. I could not stop playing this and I played the entire main story over the course of a month and beat it around the time of my birthday (March 24tH). I had so much fun I decided to try out daggerfall.

Daggerfall also blew me away and I played this game for maybe two months completing the main story sometime in June. I then proceeded to get Morrowind again and decided I would give it another shoot since I liked the first two games so much. For whatever reason this time I was really drawn into the game and even with not liking the combat so much I was hooked and beat Morrowind, then Tribunal and then Blood Moon I put in around 100 hours. Once I finished this I moved onto Oblivion and at this time I knew I would love the game since I had a lot better of an understanding of the TES series as a whole. Once I completed Oblivions main quest I rerolled my character and started the main quest over but Decided I would do Shivering isles main quest line and once I had finished that quest line I did all of the Nights of the Nine quest line as well.

On July 23rd I picked up Skyrim for steam during the summer sales and I am currently playing through it, doing the main quest line then I will reroll and start a new character working slowly through everything.

Arena = Female Wood Elf Assassin
Daggerfall = Male Norde Knight
Morrowind = Female High Elf Witch Hunter
Oblivion = Male Argonian Monk
Skyrim = Male Norde - Heavy Armor 2 1 handed swords build

Mh, my memory serves me bad, but it's been over 15 years now. So as you might have guessed, Arena started it all for me. Well, to be perfectly honest, I can't remember that much of my characters or anything else for that matter, even though I have wasted more than just few weekends playing through Morrowind and it's expansions.

I haven't played much of the latest incarnations though, dabbled a bit with Oblivion and just bought Skyrim a few days ago. But I'm planning to play through the whole series before TESO releases. I've started playing Arena again and interestingly I could recall most of it then.

So while I really enjoy TES, I wouldn't call myself a fan, really. But the combination that TESO is about to offer has me intrigued.

So how did you get into the series?
-I saw a review of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind on Toonami back in 2002 and decided to rent it at Blockbuster. Definitely the best rental I have ever made.

What was the first game you played?
-The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

What was the first TES game you actually completed the main story in?
-Oddly enough I have only completed the main story in Oblivion, which I didn't really enjoy. I never finished it in Morrowind as I screwed up the main quest and never got around to it in Skyrim. I wander too much for my own good.

How many TES games have you completed thus far?
-I don't think you can really "complete" a TES game unless you mean just doing all the quests in the game.

What TES game are you currently playing?
-None. I'll probably start playing Skyrim again to try out Dawnguard, then probably beat it. May give Morrowind another go as that is still my favorite of the series. I have tried Arena and Daggerfall but they were a little dated for my tastes.

So how did you get into the series?
It was by accident. Here in my country, I never heared of the Elder Scrolls series. One day, in 2003, I bought a video card, I cant remember the model. It came with free games.
One of them was The Elder Scrolls III : Morrowind. I take that light brown CD... for curiosity I decided to install it, to se what the hell were that.
I was like OMG... I started playing and I can never left it. It was magic... the music, the world, everything so impressive.

What was the first game you played?
Of the series, Morrowind.
On my gaming life, Doom.

What was the first TES game you actually completed the main story in?
Morrowind was the first.

How many TES games have you completed thus far?
You cant complete a TES game, but, main quest...
Morrowind and Oblivion

What TES game are you currently playing?
Morrowind and Skyrim .

My older brother set me up in Morrowind, but I never had a chance to actually play it. Later a friend let me try out Oblivion. The astounding amount of personalisation had me hooked, and I got it on PC. Actually, thinking about it, my wife bought me the Knights of the Nine expansion pack first, not realising that I needed the original game first. Perfect excuse. I studied the character setup for about 3 weeks, and finally designed the perfect mage character. High Elf, Atronach birthsign, Major skills positioned to let me get up to level 52. I stepped away from questing to level my character properly (because of course, you've got to do that if you want 3 +5s), and maxed everything out. Then of course, as you might expect, the combat got really monotonous, and a stopped playing. Still never finished that game.

I swore to myself I wouldn't bother with Skyrim, but after discovering that they'd removed the need to power-level, I was intrigued. A friend then gave me a 33% of voucher through Steam, but I still didn't budge. finally, Steam offered it for 33% off, and I found that I could use my voucher with that. Got it for around $25. Can't complain. Currently looking for Crimson Nirnroot in Blackreach. Been through the whole place, and I'm barely halfway. Must...not...use...walkthroughs... *eye twitches*

Lol, thanks. I've moved on for the moment, I want to finish the main quest. This is why I want ESO, once I've done everything in a game like this, it's almost physically painful to have to walk away from all that work. I remember staring at that "flying stars" screen at the end of FF7 for about 10 minutes before I could convince myself it was over.

Geveron. For some strange reason I like the sound of that name.

I have sadly a short TES story...

I always wanted to buy Oblivion ever since I first saw it, but sadly I couldn't afford an Xbox 360 or a PC (I played on regular xbox and PS1).

When there was rumors about Skyrim, my friend told me "You know The Elder Scrolls? Oblivion? They are making a sequel set in Skyrim, a land that is supposedly (somewhat) resembling to Scandinavia, and it's people are (sort of) based on Vikings!"

As a Swede that loves our viking history and have grown up in a community where it is praised to the skies (I once saw a Viking-wedding within this community by the way), I instantly knew that this game will have a place in my heart forever. Sadly, I forced myself to prioritize school when it was released, but I got it on Christmas eve (we celebrate Christmas eve here, not Christmas day as in America).

As I had hoped for, TES provided the kind of lore that is deep, and the deeper you go the more mind f*cked you get. I've only found that kind of lore in Halo and Assassin's Creed, so yes, Skyrim quickly became one of my favorite games.

When I get a better computer, I'm planning on getting all TES games though.

You can always download Arena and Daggerfall from elderscrolls.com, to pass the time until your new rig arrives. If you can cope with outdated graphics, both are still more than worth playing through.

Alright. Back in 1996, I got a chance to get my hands on Daggerfall. It wasn't my first RPG, but it was, really my first first-person one, and the first that allowed such a high level of character customization, not to mention a world that was big and (for the time) nice to look at. I got pretty well hooked, I have to say, and that only increased once I started running across books to read and the lore and backstory to learn. I wasn't all that good at it - I didn't make any real headway for a couple years!* - but soon I was going back to play Arena, then I found out that there more games coming out. I didn't always have the computer to run them right away, but as soon as I could I played each and every one. And I've completed all the main games (except for Arena), too, usually more than once.

As for main characters: I actually tend to pick whatever race is from the province it's set in, if applicable.
Arena: Ysteleth, Altmer Mage
Daggerfall: Thanelle Cromley, Breton Knight
Redguard: Cyrus, Red- wait, didn't have much choice there. :p
Morrowind: Ulinth, Dunmer rogue-archer-agent-thingy (never could find a good name for the custom class)
Oblivion: Setentia Merilla, Imperial Magician (mage with stealth leanings)
Skyrim: Elfreda, Nord Barbarian (Light armour, 2-handed, bits of other things.)

*Doesn't help that it's a big game with lots of side-things to do, and I get distracted easily!

Count only the happy hours.

Do you guys have the names of your characters written down somwhere, or must I settle for the thought of joining the other mad cows on the field, eventually?!

I doubt that my very tiny laptop can even handle them :/ I would more than love to download them, but since I only have this laptop that I use for school work, I would rather not risk breaking it...

Maybe if it is 100% guaranteed that it won't make my laptop slower, then I could download them.

Do you mean for TESO? I haven't decided the first name yet, but his surname will be Hakin for sure.

If your laptop still runs, it'll run Arena and Daggerfall with ease, they're both DOS games.

And regarding the names, it's about people remembering what they named their characters in Arena and Daggerfall. That's 18 years ago, can't really remember where I was or what I was doing, not to mention names of characters in a RPG I played back then.

But then, they use my brains as blueprints for swiss cheese production...
