Faction & Race:
Daggerfall Covenant (Breton)
This will be set in Westeros and start with Eddard Stark's appointment as Hand of the King. Play as already existing nobles or make up your own and engage in the plotting of King's Landing, some may fight in the tourney of the Hand. Then after some time of intrigues and backstabbing Eddard is betrayed and captured, for some this may be either a bad or a good thing. Nonetheless the times are growing dangerous... The Lannisters launches a Campaign on the Riverlands, new kings step forward...

If you do not feel for staying neutral and keeping your blade sheated, or if you are smaller noble sworn to a neutral house you may not be able to join the fighting. However if feeling otherwise then Call your banners and ride to war! Maybe join up with Another army from Another House and bring your combined Power upon the heads of your enemies.

We will follow the plot of the books up to the time were the siege of Riverrun is broken by Robb Stark.

We will then make our own end, or stick mostly to the plot depending on how it turns out. The characters such as Tywin Lannister, Robb Stark, Tyrion, Cersei and Renly etc. Who already have been filled out already shall remain NPC's. However those less expanded on for example: The Arryns and the Tyrells can one assume a position as a leader, if needed create another character in that House that leads it.

Why set in a war?

Yes because it creates an interesting setting, this will not all be about battles, but the war creates an interesting setting for intrigues and politics. The one that one does not get in times of Peace.

Although a bastard, William lied about his heritage to become a city guard and eventually joined the king's troops. While protecting a noble on a trip to Dosby, he met and fell in love with Samantha Spear-din and married into her familly, thus becoming a noble. Seth grew up as a polar opposite almost. He actually knew who his father was, a disgraced former warlock of Quarth. His ambition became to reach Quarth to try and right the wrongs commited by his father. constantly finding himself in and out of prison. He joined a blacksmith guild but was forced out and beaten within an inch of his life after trying to steal money from them. He cycled through professions such as theiving, pimping, and mercinary work. One day he woke up with a nasty hangover and no possesions in Greystone Keep. Realizing he needed to get his life together to fullfill his ambition, he became the high executioner under the Spear-din family. thanks to William, he managed to work his way up to chief alchemist of the family. And now serves them completely.

Details: The Spear-din family is often looked down upon for its small army. Chivalry and mercy are the key virtues taught within the family by tradition and a loss of honor is enough to earn disownment. Thus anyone who enters Phjorn's throne room is typically cautious with their words to avoid offending him.

Is it possible to just to participate in all the intrigue going about in King's Landing? I ain't keen writing stories regarding battles (mainly because they aren't really my thing), but I could participate with a House / group that plots in King's Landing as a side-plot.

Yes ofcourse. You might be one of those that just gets back to your castle after a certain Hand gets a head shorter,

But you should know that the war will just consist of maybe a dozen larger battles, several will your characters not be a part of and only hear about, its only in a war because it creates an interesting setting and opens up for more intrigues. And if you would like to you can stay in King's Landing once the war starts, I am sure a few will keep characters there.

It's merely writing a story in turns, and people react to what has previously happened in their writing.
