Allus Typhisius rode at the head of his legion. Allus was a powerful Battle-Mage, given control of an entire legion by the Empire to command. He fought bravely for many years alongside these men, and they were more loyal to him than the Emperor. But, slowly, Allus’s mind became distorted and corrupted. He wanted only for power. Eventually, Allus convinced his entire legion to defect from the imperial legion. He poisoned the good men’s minds with pictures and thoughts of evil. And now, he led them down the cobbled path to their first target in Cyrodiil. It was a small farming village, of no particular advantage other than spreading infamy and fear. They would be there before dusk, ready to burn it to the ground. These were no ordinary thugs, they were a legion. A rogue legion with no goal other than to pillage and destroy ‘till their master was satisfied. Back at the village, guards and civilians toiled to make the town presentable for the Imperial Legion. A courier had arrived a week earlier, speaking of today’s date. Guards polished their swords and practiced drills, though they were of the lowest rank among soldiers. Many of the civilians had family in the legion, and prepared gifts for their return. At last, as the sun began to set, the Rogue legion arrived at the village’s gates. Allus spoke no words when the guards saluted him. He simply raised his hand high. A volley of flaming arrows was released, bathing the village in fire. Ra’Makh Qa’Dram raced to escape the flames burning down the inn he had been staying at. In his haste, Ra’Makh forgot his most recent research on the flowers of Cyrodiil. When Ra’Makh saw the renegade legion, he drew his sword. Three soldiers turned and charged Ra’Makh. The cat parried an attack from one of the soldiers, but then immediately took a shield to the face. Ra'Makh stumbled back and fell to the ground. He slipped in and out of consciousness for awhile, before blacking out completely. One phrase was etched into his mind. "The first town crumbles, and soon, Anvil will too!" Ra'Makh was left in the street, and the Rouge Legion disappeared down the road.

Jo'Shima hummed merry tune as she crept along the rode. Oh how she did enjoy her work. Tonight under the nights veil her contract was to be filled, to steal away into this small community and do away with a local in the most dramatic fashion possible. This had to be her best contract this month! To fully explore her artistic limits! Her furred hand traced the ornate designn in the curled handle of her dagger. Thank the Unholy Maitrin for such a blessiing!

Her Dark Brotherhood robes were so comfortable and clean tonight... she couldnt wait to dirty them with the Altmers blood oh yes. Yet as the Khajiits eyes fell upon the raided village her scarred maw dropped in fury. She rpughly tore her cowel and faceguard back so as to better survey thw damage.

How dare they! What horrible person did this! Oh she would do a great many unspoken horrors to the source that stole her contract. "By Sithis!" She snarled, tail rwitching side to side with unmasked fury. Her eyes gleamed with malicious intent. "In the name of the Night Motherthe Dread Lord will have blood for this!" She stalked throgh the town in search of answers.

A single figure lay in the midst, a fellow Khajiit by the looks of it. Perhaps he had answers or at least she could relwnt her fury upon his corpae. She gave the downed warrior a swift kick to the ribs. "Oi! Wake up Khajiit and be quick in it!" She snarled, crouching over his form.

Ra'Makh awoke, gasping for air. His ribs hurt. "I must get to Anvil and warn the legate before they get there." He then noticed the khajiit standing above him. "First an army and now an assassin? Cyrodiil is a most unlucky place for Khajiit." Ra'Makh pushed past the assassin and started down the road for Anvil. Ra'Makh had lost a month of research in the raid, and was in no mood to be hospitable.

Jo'Shima hissed lowly, ears lying flat and her tail making a long swoop against the ground before she hastened after him. "This one thinks you have no place to talk, fellow desert walker." She pulled her hood and mask up quickly as she followed. "Wait! You must answer this ones questions! Who did this," she guestured angrily at the mess of village remaining "and where may Jo'Shima find them!" Her voice took on a purring venom of blood curling property. "Jo'Shima has score to settle."

Walks-Through-Fire walked along the road, scanning the distance for any dangers. She listened to the reassuring sounds of the cart wheels and the clopping of horses feet on the cobble, the sounds of the children gasping as a town went up in fire. Ah, so reassuring. The twenty or so bandits - including the children - took their time in getting to the village. She horse she led trotted along slowly behind her and she began to walks faster, causing it to shake irritably. She narrowed her eyes and looked back, all the horse had to carry was some supplies, just the same as her. She stopped, waited for him to come alongside her before jumping up on his back. He kicked, annoyed, before doing what he was supposed to and trotted ahead. She wheeled round, calling back to Ysran and the others. "I'm just going to have a look at that town." She galloped towards it. An hour later she finally reached the blackened skeleton of what was once a town. She saw a shady figure and a khajiit and dismounted, drawing her sword. She hoped they were friendly with bandits, and if they weren't, she hoped they were weak. She walked towards them, wary. Despite having advantage in numbers with the rest of the bandits at her back they were an hour away. She called out. "Hail, who are you? Are you a friend or enemy to a passing bandit group?" She looked down at her mismatched armour, a bit of leather, fur and iron, it was adequate. The horse stayed where it was and she glanced back at it. "Lazy animal."

The Khajiiit assassin paused in her relentless barrage of questions to eye the bandit female with a sneer hidden by her face guard. "Jo'Shima neither friend nor foe so long as you keep to the same nuetrality" she replied with a lighthearted and sickeningly sweet tone before an edge of malice creeped into her voice at the end. She turned back to her temporary companion awaiting his answer with an impatient glare. She was not letting him slip away before she recieved her information.

She stepped forwards. "Well you don't seem very friendly to me, and don't threaten me unless you want a whole group of bandits after you." She thought about the group of scavenger bandits that were her family. For sure they would take revenge if anyone harmed her. She took out her axe and sword, both bandit forged, they were a mix of steel and iron, by far not the best of blades you could get but they would do.

Jo'Shima snickered and casually ran her finger along the butt of her dagger before hooking it beneath the curl. She did not draw it however. "This one could offer the same advice, though Jo'Shimas family may be farther, but certainly hold a more merciless grudge. This one has no quarrle and would like to keep it thar way, bandit, so this one suggests you sheath your weapons. Its rather... inhospitable." Her eyes glinted with dark amusement as the bandits humorous attempts at a threat calmed her raging fury.

She sheathed her weapons and smiled at her. "So, who's the target, assassin?" She could tell by the armour they were a Dark Brotherhood assassin, they had accepted one of the runaway dark brotherhood member into her bandit family. Despite being chased by his own family of assassins he was still fond of them, wearing the rags of his black armour even now.

Jo'Shima gestured at the devastation. "Whoever was the cause of this... the cause of Jo'Shimas lost contract..." she snarled angrily. "Oh yes. This one will make good work of them." She purred her words in a way suggesting true madness as sje spun. "This one will make beautiful art of that cretins corpse. The Dread Father demans blood and blood he shall have!" She finished her spin and threw back her head emitting a haunting cackle before bowing low. "Jo'Shima swears this on the Night Mothers glorious corpse~"

Tyrvan frowned as he drank the last of his ale. This Anvil inn was getting quite boring, and he relished the thought of some adventure. But before he would leave town, One more drink couldn't hurt, he thought. So he payed for another and turned around in his seat to survey the others resting at the inn. "Not even a bard to liven the mood, what a shame."

"It... was horrible." Ra'Makh started. "There was an imperial Legion, equipped, trained, and fed to be elite. They strolled into the town, and burned it down. Anyone who fled was killed. At the head there was a... a battle-mage. The guards trusted him, and he used the element of surprise to destroy them. It sounds unbelievable, yes, but it is true. I remember... They were going to destroy Anvil. I must stop them."

"Well, this one is wise enough not to exclude an assassin. Perhaps you could help regather khajiit's research. Are you fond of illustrating flowers?

When he finished his ale, Tyrvan decided it was finally time to leave. With that he packed up his belongings and stepped out to town. On his way to the gates, he heard some gaurds whispering. He couldn't make out the words exactly but by the hushed tone they sounded worried or frightened, but paid them no mind. He assumed it was just talk of local bandits or troubles in the town, so he left. After some time of walking, he came upon two khajiit and an argonian. What an odd bunch. What could they possibly be doing out here?, he thought as he stared down what seemed to be an assassin and a bandit walking together with the other khajiit. As he got closer he stopped and asked, "What brings you adventurers together? Is there some sort of treasure in a nearby ruin?"
