I have been thinking for a while now to start a new guild myself.

I have this website/forum I have been working on for a week now.
The site is still far from completion so I prefer not to showcase it yet. My apologies.

But the problem is that I have yet to make up a good guild name for it.
So I have been thinking what to name my new guild. I have been thinking about this long before I started working on the website hoping a good name will come to me in time.
This made me come up with the idea to use a popular tavern in the history of the elder scrolls to use as the guild name.
Would such a tavern be a good name for my guild? It would certainly be able to function as a warm home for the guild, with music and laughter.

But thinking about that also made me stuck with some questions.
- What are the most popular taverns?
- If I would adopt the name of a tavern could Bethesda possibly sue me for copyrights?

Thanks for any help here and all suggestions are welcome.

Stick with a Cornerclub.
Southwall Cornerclub,
You are EP so it works.
Look around, mix and match or create your own, just take influence.

Well, I have chosen EP for now. But after release of TESO I will go with whatever alliance I feel has the highest population/guild count.
So the name doesn't really have to be EP specific.

I really suck at coming up with names.. it are just the more obvious and non-original name mixtures I can come up with. But I will always keep trying to come up with better names for as long as I feel I have to.

Just play around with names, see if you like the feel for it.
Nobody gets a perfect name first go.

I have another idea for your guild name. The Black Horse Post used to be a very popular (fictional) newspaper in Tamriel. Why not Black Horse Tavern or Black Horse Corner Club for your website and Black Horses or Black Horse Guild for the guild name?

TESO - - Multiplayer: "M'aiq does not know this word. You wish others to help you in your quest? Coward! If you must, search for the Argonian Im-Leet, or perhaps the big Nord, Rolf the Uber. They will certainly wish to join you." M'aiq the Liar.

"Va Khaj Dar - Khajiity's united? M'aiq will join!" M'aiq the Liar

I was joking with some friends that I'll be playing with on making a guild. They aren't sure what they want to do for a guild, make one for ourselves or join an existing one. Aside from that, I was poking fun as using "Blackwood Trading Company" for a guild name since it's the infamous enemy of the fighter's guild in Oblivion, perhaps shortening the name to just Blackwood. Then, being the Doctor Who fan that I am, my brain led me to think about using the name Torchwood for a guild.

Captain Jack Harkness is totally a tank, Gwen is the healer/support, Ianto, Owen, and Toshiko are totally DD. I can imagine Toshiko being an archer/thief, Ianto being a mage, and Owen rocking dual-wielding swords.
