I have a quick question about beta testing for TESO: are there only american and UK players or is it players from all over the world?

From what I understand it is international, but I could be wrong. In the sign up and from what I have seen personally it seems like they are taking people from everywhere since all options were available and no specification as to region was given. Basically there was no disclaimer saying "Only U.S. and U.K. applicants will be considered for BETA testing till further processing" There was nothing like that and usually if that was the case they would grey out other options and make sure that people knew not to waste their time to avoid backlash. So if your outside the U.S. and U.K. I still think you got a shot.

Thank you! I think it is international but it seems like only U.S and U.K people has gotten in but maybe I have been mistaken.

The sad truth is they still will prefer and the vast majority of people especially when it is an English speaking company will prefer the regions most easily dealt with which are other English speaking ones. So you end up with a region preference with companies like bethesda towards the U.S. and U.K. though they might even have a bit of a preference for Australia and New Zealand again because they are English speaking.

It sucks, but its just easier for them so they probably limit pretty heavily the more international testers until they can really open up the beta and have more resources such as translators and all the stuff that could entail. I will say this is all speculation, but its really pretty simple business plans that you test on the target audience and the ones most easily dealt with before expanding so that you do not overwhelm yourself.

Think about how most mmos like Aion which are from developers from Korea for example beta test everywhere, but focus on their area and then even may release there before expanding. So it will seem a little unfair probably for a month or so more and as we draw closer to release things will probably really start to open up. Also I think it could have to do with well honestly I am American and I can say that if anyone was gonna spill the beans about getting in beta its one of my country men lol. So it could just be that the international testers are taking NDA and all that a bit more seriously maybe going so far as to not even discuss they got in. There are a lot of variables here so yea.

Don't worry, hardly anyone has gotten in yet. You are not alone in waiting ....

TESO - - Multiplayer: "M'aiq does not know this word. You wish others to help you in your quest? Coward! If you must, search for the Argonian Im-Leet, or perhaps the big Nord, Rolf the Uber. They will certainly wish to join you." M'aiq the Liar.

"Va Khaj Dar - Khajiity's united? M'aiq will join!" M'aiq the Liar

Im kinda worried about the same thing, I was thinking they might be worried about leaks. I don't know if I would get on on the beta because of this.

this is the first TRUE beta i have participated in. where they close off content and truly try to test the game before release. most betas these days are almost treated like a demo and is meant to be a final product. i didnt get that vibe with TESO. felt like they were truly trying to test the game.
