This question is really not about the lifespan but just about how long it takes for the altmer to age

so lets say the average lifespan of an altmer is 300 years a nice round number
Does he have youthful hair and no wrinkles by his middle age wich is 150 years?

Or does he have gray hair and lots of wrinkles by his middle ages

I would say the Altmer age the same as humans unless they change themselves with face sculptors or by using magic.

We really don't have that much info on the topic. For convenience let's say that an imperial's life span is exactly 100 and an altmer's is 300. A 30 year altmer would not have aged the same as a 10 year old imperial. It seems that the difference between how they age grows significantly more over time.

We know that Mer age normally until around the time they finish puberty. We still don't know how aging works after that. We know that it slows down, but we don't know whether it does so proportionately, ie. a if 200-year-old Mer with a 600-year lifespan will have aged as much as a 50-year-old human with a 100-year lifespan. We don't yet have that information.

By arrow. By blade.
By tooth. By claw.
By shock. By frost. By flame.
The Aldmeri Dominion will dominate Tamriel.
Our enemies will fall until the Throne is ours.

Per ZeniMax I can actually answer this. Elves live around 1200 years, but reach maturity at about the same rate as humans. So a 10 year old elf looks the same age as a 10 year old human. Although I was not specifically told this next part, it is reasonable to assume that basically when an Elf reaches maturity at around 20 or so, the aging process slows to a crawl. Therefore a 45 year old elf, looks like a 20 year old human. The age and maturity info I got straight from ZeniMax.

I'd say that they start to age very, very slowly after the age of around 18-20 because they would age like Man until they're adults. Take Queen Ayrenn for example, she's 22.

Transcription error. Actually she is 128 years old but by accident Zenimax lost the first digit while updating the page.

Elves can naturally become 300 years, then they are a very old elf. Elves dont naturally live longer than that.

Oh. Thanks for correcting me, then! :)

Okay, Queen Ayrenn is 128, but even still she looks like she's around 28, showing that she is of an old age (to say Man) but still looking young, so I do believe the slowing effect of age is present! :D

Actually In the lore she was born on the 5th of Second Seed year 555 of the 2nd Era and crowned Queen on the 7th of Frostfall year 580 of the 2nd Era, Which makes her 25 at the Ascension to the throne and 28 at the beginning of the Interregnum War.

And Cyrodiil is a jungle ;)

Trancription error. The first ever puplished age of Ayreen was 128. Now the page says 28 and the dates hint at that age. Still transcription error. Even if women don´t want to hear about their true age, Ayrenn can´t simply forge historic documents and make herself younger. ;)

Oh no... Now I'm even more confused... Oh well. I guess I'll have to find out my self. Time for some lore research!

Someone posted in a different thread how they asked people at Zenimax during some event and they said All elves (with the exception of Orismer.. :O) have an average life of about 1200 ish years.

‎I must not fear. Fear is the mid-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total annihilation. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
