Ambush!!!

So, I'm a huge fan of PvP for one. Now, I have heard that people will be able to launch ambushes, siege castles, have to rebuild the castle they siege, capture ES, etc. My question is, what PvP aspects do you want to see in the game, and what PvP aspects do you look forward to the most?

What I'd like to see is to be able to build castles like in Shadowbane so there are more than just the same old same old places. While they are fun at first to siege. . they can get kind of dull, and people learn the "meta" way to take a place over.

Im just really stoked for the raids. I know they have already been incorporated but still, Its probably the one thing Im looking forward to. And do you mean like change the design of the castle for the next siege? So you can like improve your designs as you go to withstand the siege better? Cause that would be pretty cool, and then add in the building aspect of hearthfire.

I, like Striker, am very excited for the raiding portion of PVP. The whole concept of bringing an army together to take down an enemy force seems like an awesome idea and I am really looking forward to it.

I would have to say that being able to come up with strategies such as starving the keep of their resources by blocking nearby farms from delivering their goods to the keep. It adds an extra layer to the traditional " kill kill destroy!" I'm used to seeing in most mmos.

Yah, something like that. Stuff like being able to decide whether you want a mote & drawbridge, or invest on really tall walls, or just something to where there are tons of different varieties of strongholds and castles so that it isn't the same old thing over and over. Also, it helps prevent things like meta games, which personally I think is when something has failed if there is a "perfect" way to play.

Yeah them "cannon rope bridges" were pretty cool! Though I will be happy if they just have the wall scaling in game. It was such a cool feature in DAoC and I sure hope they allow it in ESO.

I just hope players who say they don't like PvP give it a try in ESO because I really think they will see that its not so bad as it may seem from past experiences.

Yeah, I don't think really think a siege might become dull, but I'm just afraid of metas is all. Any time something is set in stone on "how to win" then that means it isn't diverse enough. From what I can tell with the whole mob AI then I would imagine Zenimax is trying to minimize the possibility of there being a "perfect way to play." There again, you can only account for so much, but I'd love for it to be at least a good long while before we start seeing the "correct" way to do AvA. . .
