Ambushes

Anyone looking forward to hiding in bushes ambushing people as they're walking down a road? What tactic would you use?

Assuming you have a stealther group, the way to go would be for the Assassin characters to position themselves between the target, and the archers, but closer to the target, and then the archers let loose, and when the taret(s) go to attack the archers, the assassins backstab 'em en route, or stay behing to take out healers/casters in the back, depending on target's group composition...

Ideally, someone should be leading the group who can make that call.

i can see a tank(with healing abilities) being used as bait to lure out a couple enemies just to get swarmed by a small group of assassin and archery types.

I like the multi-ambush approach. Place a kitten (or young Khajiiten) in the roadway, wait until a party with ladies in it stop to scoop up the kitten, and then rain a hail of fiery arrows down on the party - avoiding the kitten of course which will run off in fright - of the ladies or the arrows is hard to say.

Nooo not the Alfiq! we should steal peoples sweetrolls and then place them in a big pile so when people come to retrieve them and shut the guards up we throw shuriken at them! (shuriken are more commonly, and incorrectly, known as throwing stars.)

But how will people identify their particular sweetroll out of the big pile?

Yes, yes ... we will spare the lil Alfiq.

I don't think it matters which sweetroll people get.

Perhaps we could leave a large sum of gold/valuables in the middle of a road then position troops so that the victim cant escape...they stop to get the loot we kill them for their greed.

I'm actually looking forward to doing it with my guild. Rangers of the Dominion are perfectly suited for this task and I think it will be great fun :)
