Faction & Race:
Daggerfall Covenant (Breton)
Hello everyone!

This will be an RP during the events of the Assassin's creed Black Flag in the West Indies, we will be pirates, or members of the English or Spanish royal navies.

You can be a captian of a ship or simply a member of its crew. You can have alligience to either Nassau (pirates), Havanna (Spain) or Kingston (Britain).

Ships:

You can captain Schooners, brigs, frigates and Man o' wars.

Schooners: Schooners are small, light and fast vessels, not ideals for those who would want to engage in any greater ammount of battling, but good for those that prefers to strike and then escape rather than taking battle. They can only take a low ammount of damage before being defeated. Can carry a crew up to twenty-five men large and can have up to eighteen cannons in total.

Brigs: Moderately powerful, swift and capable of doing vicious ramming attacks. They can take a moderate ammount of damage before being defeated. Brigs can be used aswell in a firefight as getting away swiftly, though it are not capable of defeating the larger vessels in an outright firefight its speed and size can be good to atleast get away from the larger vessels, and it has enough firepower to defeat moderately large and smaller ships. Can have up to around forty cannons and a crew up to sixty men.

Frigates: Powerful, rather fast and capable of defeating even the largest vessels in a firefight. Although they can handle themselves well enough they are not the ideal vessel to get away quick and without anyone noticing due to their size. They can have up to seventy-five cannons in total and a crew of over a hundred men. Though most frigates do not keep rams, wich makes them less good in ramming other vessels.

Man o' wars: Very powerful, slow and the strongest kind of ships in a firefight. Though their size makes them easier targets, and their weight and size makes it hard to quickly manouver and move. They can have over a hundred and twenty cannons and carry a crew up to two hundred men.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rules: 1) No god-modding or taking control of other Roleplayers actions.
2) Be nice and mature to eachother and OOC stuff like arguements goes in the planning thread.
3) You can have no more than ten ships excluded your own in your fleet, and take at highest 3 ships at one time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Characters:

Archmage Alator:

Name: Robert Charleston

Height: Robert stand at near seven feet, wich has resulted in that some call him 'The giant'.

Age: 42

Appearance: In mostly black robes (looking as the Templar armor do) and a pirate hat in the same colour with four pistols and two pirate cutlasse's around his hip Robert makes a fearsome sight. He has a moderately long black beard and hair and his eyes are blue as the sea.

Personality: Humorous, friendly and not without mercy when he is in a good mood makes him rather likeable among those on his side, and some on the other sides. However in his wrath he can be a terror for anyone who cross him. He is intelligent, determined and good at seeing the large picture, though he has problems admitting that he is wrong. He has an aura of respect around him, and the most have a healthy fear for him.

Skills and weaknesses: Besides navigating a ship and a natural gift for leading Robert is very gifted with a blade and rather good with a pistol. Though he hates marshes and keeps away from them, despite whatever treasure might rest inside. Also he is not a master at moving silently and unseen, although he can manage himself well enough in that.

Loves: Rum, freedom, the sea, fighting and reading.

Hates: Marshes, anyone who tries to take someone's freedom and sharks.

Loyalty: He swears loyalty to Nassau.

Ship:

Name: The Black Dawn (A name he got from when a captain whom's ship he had raided was overheard saying 'They came like a black dawn in the early hours...' due to the dark-grey colour of the ship)

Class: Frigate

Power: It keeps over thirty cannons on each of its broadsides, six at the front and two at the back of it, as many as could fit in on the ship. There are three levels of cannons, two under deck and one above. It has six mortars on the deck near the front of the ship and Robert keeps it always well-provisioned with gunpowder and weapons that could come handy for a pirate, such as cutlasses, grenades, muskets, flintlocks, boarding axes blunderblosses etc. It has a crew of a hundred and twenty men.

Appearence:

(Kind of, that is Blackbeard's ship Queen Anne's Revenge made by Ubisoft, The Black Dawn does not have any red on her, so instead of the red colour on its sides as you see there she has the same colour there instead as she has on the lower parts, and her sails are dark grey. She also has more cannons than The Revenge.)
-------------------------------------------------------------

Epicface and ClickCrisis

Name: William Hawking.

Gender: Male.

Age: 30.

Appearance: William has very dark brown hair and bright green eyes, stands a bit over 6 feet, and looks fairly muscular. He wears leather guards strapped over common clothing which he wears when he enters towns. He almost never wears a hat, preferring to let the air flow freely through his hair. He wears leather pants, wearing no braces on them as he feels they provide enough protection needed, instead relying on dodging or parrying enemy strikes with his sword, then countering with his dagger.

Equipment: He wears four pistols on his front, keeps two smaller pocket-pistols holstered on his thighs, and has a curved dagger and saber kept sheathed on opposite sides of his hips. When he enters combat, he always takes his sword and dagger out, often using the sword to block attacks and using the dagger to stab areas left open. He uses his pistols mainly for shots he know will kill or incapacitate, or if he needs to take out an enemy who uses guns in particular, otherwise he relies on his blades for everything else.

Personality: William tends to stay quiet, unless ordering his crew around during an attack. He isn't as charismatic or talkative as his quartermaster, Daniel, is, but he generally stays calm and collected, those qualities likely contributing to him being captain. Among those of non-pirate stock he appears normal, if a tad separated from everyone else. Among his crew, however, his presence demands a sense of respect, as he always feels considerably more confident and brave when he is with is crew, and he imagines they feel the same.

Skills and Weaknesses: William trains himself daily on combat as a whole, constantly working on his techniques and keeping his weapons in working order. He is more skillful with his blades than he is with his gun, but he generally has good accuracy when he focuses hard. However, he has never really trained himself in being more stealthy, and so often has trouble blending in or generally doing things of that nature, neither is he good at talking his way out of things. He prefers to use his guns as a quick sneak attack, taking out as many as he can before they draw their blade, but once they do he uses nothing but his blades and wit.

Likes: Taking goods without force, keeping his crew happy/content, his weapons being clean, sharp, and in perfect working condition.

Dislikes: Losing crew members, extremely loud and boisterous people, and colder climates, such as most of North America.

Loyalty: Nassau, land of the pirates, and to his own country, The Messenger.

Ship Bio:

Name: Davy Jone's Messenger, or simply, The Messenger.

Class: Brig.

Appearance: The ship itself is a normal brown color, nothing fancy being added to it. The sails are a gray color, leaning towards black. Ropes are always messily spread about, like any other ship, and the wheel is made ofa bronze-colored, slightly rusty material. The figurehead depicts a large squid, the Kraken of legends, with its tentacles spread out and its beak pointed slightly upwards.

Power: The Messenger holds a full forty cannons, holding two in the front and the rest on the sides. The crew has around fifty people, and the front, just below the Kraken figurehead, holds a large iron ram. In the bottom area of the ship there holds a large assortment of weapons, from swords to pistols to muskets to blunderbusses to grenadoes to boarding axes and a large assortment of other weapons, ripe for the crews taking. It has a fairly wide assortment of cannon shots, but mostly stuck to the common sort unless really needed otherwise.

ClickCrisis:

Name: Daniel Hardcastle

Height: 6'5"

Age: 29

Appearance: Dan adorns himself in the usual stereotypical pirate gear, with the usual hat and the black coat, although he prefers himself clean-shaven.

Personality: He's quite humorous, and loves a good joke, but at times can be fierce as he has a slight anger problem. His likeable personality puts him at a high standard among the crew of the Davy Jones's Messenger (his ship)

Skills and weaknesses: He's an excellent thief, able to sneak around anyone and steal from their purses, this gives him the ability to get treasure while avoiding conflict. He's a horrible shot with a gun as his eyesight isn't great. He's also not very strong, giving him a disadvantage in combat.

Loves: His crew, a good ship.

Hates: Sharks, idiots, unfriendly people.

Loyalty: Nassau

Ship: Quartermaster aboard the Davy Jones's Messenger, captain is (Epicface's Character. He will post the ship bio in his application, as he is the captain)

----------------------------------------
Took an arrow in the anee

Character bio:

Name: Alastair Wallace (goes by just Wallace).

Sex: Male.

Age: 32.

Appearance: A moderately tall man, over six feet, with broad shoulders and back and straw coloured hair covered with a bandanna. His face is clean shaven (except for his eyebrows of course), unusual for a pirate, with a decent sized scar running diagonally from the right corner of his right eye to his chin. He has fairly buff arms and a blue tattoo on his left collarbone right where the neck touches the shoulder of a ship's wheel. He has deep blue eyes that can sometimes seem grey depending on the light.

Equipment: Carries eight pistols in total (four single-shot Scottish flintlocks across his chest Blackbeard-style, one triple-shot pistol on either hip [also Scottish made], one pocket pistol in his right boot just in case, and one Italian long barrelled pistol tucked under his belt) plus two pistol swords (one on either hip). ((I cannot really describe the clothing but it's basically the attire worn by Commodore Chamberlain with a Davy Jones-style hat and a deep blue cloak with gold trim (the same cloak type seen in AC4).))

Backstory: Alastair was born in London to a Scottish family but he was orphaned at eleven years old when his parents died of illness and he became a ship's boy aboard a Frigate for some years.

Once he was eighteen he left and joined the royal navy where he spent several years in service until he eventually rose to the rank of commodore at age thirty.

It was then that he grew to see what the British and Spanish empires really were and began to hate it and began to follow orders much more reluctantly until he left the navy entirely and became a pirate.

He soon realized though that to make his way he would need a ship and a crew to sail it and fight for him so he figured Tortuga was a good place to start which was where he headed.

After several days in Tortuga he heard some rumours about a slave galleon due to make port and quickly devised a plan and hired a crew ready to sail.

When the slave ship came and the crew left for the town Alastair and his new crew quickly sprang and stole the ship without too much of a fight and set sail for Nassau spending the next two years pirating the British and Spanish alike.

Other: He has a pet red howler monkey named Phobos.

Ship bio:

Name: The Ares.

Class: Frigate.

Appearance: A wooden hull painted black with a red stripe going horizontally across the "waist" of the ship and reinforced with tar, horsehair, and extra wooden planks. Its sails are made from black leather and painted with a red bull's scull in the centre of each with painted blood dripping down the sails and of course a black flag with a white human skull and two cutlasses crossed behind it. The wheel is a simple Blackwood wheel and the figurehead depicts a large boar charging with its mouth agape with large tusks. The rear of the ship (where the wheel and captain's quarter's are) is raised considerably higher than that of other frigates.

Equipment: The Ares is outfitted with its maximum capacity of cannons and crew plus a heavy ram at the front and six mortars (three groups of two running down the middle of the deck) and a diving bell. The weapons aboard the ship include boarding axes, blunderbusses, musketoons, muskets, flintlocks, ductfoots, cutlasses, grenades, and a wide variety of cannon ammunition.

First mate/quartermaster: Edward Johnson, 6'3 and well built with charcoal hair tucked under a three-pointed hat and a black frock coat with red trim and a scruffy beard. Carries a spadoon sword and two double barrelled flintlock pistols and a blunderbuss as well as a concealed dagger. He's a close friend of Alastair and the two met in the royal navy. Edward also left the navy with Alastair and helped him steal the slave ship which they renamed "The Ares" in Tortuga and has been sailing as first mate ever since.

Name: Albus Sherwood

Height: About 5 feet 10 inches.

Age: 32

Appearance: Albus likes to wear the Privateer outfit, but also has possession of a Merchant outfit, a Politician's outfit, an Officer's outfit, and a Stealth outfit. Albus has black hair, brown eyes, and his hair is short.

Personality: Albus is usually serious, although during battle can go "battle-mad". He is loyal to his captain, ship and crew. Albus has his own code of honor, and one day would like to have a fleet of his own. He is also intelligent, cunning and has a "cold" temper (if you have read Ender's Shadow, you know what I mean). He is also secretive about his past.

Skills: Albus is great with his two swords, is an okay shot with his pistols, and is a very good shot with a cannon. Albus is also a good captain, if need be, and a great boarding party leader. He is also good at getting out of trouble, either through talking or bribing the right people. He is also very fast, both on his feet and with his reflexes. Albus is a good climber and a good swimmer.

Weaknesses: Albus can be a little slow to make decisions, and has a special hatred of the British ship, The Jackal. Albus is also occasionally be "overpowered" by his battle-maddness.

Equipment: Three swords (two in normal sheaths, one in a sheath on his back), eight pistols, two daggers (in his boots), some extra bullets in pouches across his waist, a spyglass, a bottle of rum.

Loves: His swords, his pistols, his daggers, his dreams, his privacy, singing "yo ho, yo ho, a Pirate's life for me".

Hates: The Jackal, enemy forts, nosy people, ugly prostitutes.

Loyalty: He swears loyalty to Nassau and @Epicface 's ship.

I'm in for sure, but I'll have to work on my bio for a little bit.
Looks very interesting ;)
Will it include the things unique to the AC series, like the Assassins, the Templars, and the Apples of Eden, or will it be different?

It will include the Assassin and Templars for example, deal with them can be made if you discover them. Although to prevent god-modding such as someone become a captain-assassin ala' Edward Kenway for example use their assassin skills to become unbeatable in a battle, or a Templar wich puts a massivge power into your hands.

We are in that world, but we do not take a direct part in the Assassin-templar conflicts.

Oh, if our char is from a non-English speaking country should the speech be in English or should it be in the native language of the char? I think I know the answer but I think my char will be French (the language of which I can speak to some degree) so just though I'd make sure.

You can use some words from the french, but still speak english, although it might be poor. For example if you are able to you can make curses for example in your naval tounge.

I will likely make a pirate too, but I'm not sure.
I'm kinda waiting for my friend to come on, as he'll be interested in it too, and we'll probably have characters in the same crew or something, so I'll probably hold my bio and stuff off until then.
