Id also heavily doubt well see Solstheim on release.

I was reffering to this map right here:

TESO claims that it isn't accurate in representing what areas will be available upon the launch of the game, but my research has proven otherwise. If you look at Vvanderfell you can see that it looks like the available play area extends further North West than just Vivec, so I decided it should be added in.

As for Solstheim, you're probably right, and I'll apply that patch in a hidden update of the OP.

Here is the new map with edits made:

Wow, the information people inference from collecting various references and collusion with others is astounding. I think this map has a good chance of being rather accurate in assuming what the release maps will be like. No faction has connected borderlines. These seems rational so that players have a chance to enjoy the environment as well as adapt to the gameplay a bit before immediately concerning themselves with border patrols and protection. Very informative. Thanks and great job all who contributed. Looks wonderful.

No reason to be over-critical of pure speculation based off the best sources the guy can find...

@Skaffles , Indeed very good work. I feel it's a good start actually. They left a TON of room for improvement. This is a plus because I would love to see higher level expansions and so forth.

Very nice post, great work on all the research to come up with all this, is pretty interesting and can't wait to see how accurate it ends up being :) I just have one question as I'm not quite as knowledgeable of overall ES geography as the rest of you.

In the released trailers we see desert areas with ancient egyptian themed pyramids and tombs and the like, I am just wondering which areas this type of environment would likely be. From what I've managed to find it looks like probably Hammerfell and thus Daggerfall Covenant territory but you guys would know better than me. Due to the faction based restrictions I'm just curious to know as these are the areas I am most interested in exploring and thus will have the most influence on the race I roll.

can only be hammerfell, elsweyr or nahd, and nahd doesnt exist. and elsweyr is largeley not in the game.

Right on, thanks for the reply Sordak, is what I was thinking from what I found but wasn't sure. Now I just hope an Orc Mage type character will be possible / viable otherwise I can't see myself playing really. These areas interest me the most and really don't care for Breton/Redguard but am all about the mage type. Guess we see what happens when the time comes hehe.

races aint class restricted so you *can* make an orc mage.
tho around this timeframe, if you plan on giving him a theme. make him into a shaman of sorts. The Orcs are not nearly as civilized as they are in the newer games. and they arent particulary civilized in those either.

The Orcs in the ESO timeline, only fight for the DC to get their own kingdom/province and their main city back/rebuilt. But they will only repair later.

I feel like I've been jabbed in the gut, two times.
Once when I saw how much if Black Marsh will be playable, and the second when I saw how much Elsweyr was playable.
Now I know, EVERYONE hates the beast races. Even their creators. Even the creators of their creators.
But, the quote said ALL EP guys will be able to go there, maybe only Argonians can go further =3 (Clinging on to a thread, I know it's not gonna happen)
edit:
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate this a lot, it just saddens me that so little of my homeland will not be playable. But, I guess, it's all Marsh, who gives a foop about it anyway. And Elsweyr is all desert, who gives a foop about it either.
And both have beast races. Who gives a foop about them anyway. (Being sarcastic here, to hide the fact that even the Devs dislike the Beasts, apparently)
Maybe as an expansion... maybe as an expansion... maybe as an expansion... maybe as an expansion...
edit again: Mildly upset? Mildly upset? I actually lol'd.

Maybe it will be so big, if you experience it on 1 character you die of awesomeness.
But with all the crossed out areas, it won't be THAT big, it will be about 3/4's or 2/3's as big.
Still, close enough.
