Faction & Race:
Daggerfall Covenant (Redguard)
Found this section. I like RPing and been doing it for a long time so I’m gonna post this guy. If you have any problems, just message here and I’ll fix it.

“My services are yours. Tell me what is it that you need: assassination, bodyguard, helping, or other jobs you can think of and I shall do them.”

Name: Azzanadra, but uses the pseudonym, Ahad, instead.

Title: Unknown, he’s not known in the world and prefers it that way.

Gender: Male

Race: Redguard

Age: 30, born in 2E 551 in the Mid Year, with the birth sign of the Serpent.

Occupation: Assassin (no longer for the Dark Brotherhood, mainly a sellsword now) and ‘Helper’.

Faction: He's mainly neutral but offers his services for either factions.

Appearance: Azzanadra stands tall, taller than most Redguards, around 5'11". His skin is darker in color than his common kin, it is due to a curse someone was placed upon him to cause him suffering. His long dark hair messily hangs above his head. His red eyes were perfectly blended with his outward appearance, as the eyes themselves appear like that the Daedric Princes are watching through his vision. If one looks enough closely at his eyes, it shows a hint of sorrow and melancholy. He has a lean and athletic build, perfected to be able to run away once the assassination had been done.

He wears the clothes of the Dark Siblings but he wears armor long with it such as black gauntlets to protect his arms, not hands, boots, breastplate because full chestplate will slow him down, and some thigh guards. He also wears full finger gloves with some thin chain plating on it. He wears light pauldrons on his shoulders, lighter and weaker than normal set of pauldrons, and they’re dark to blend into the shadows. He hides his face behind a black hood, and a scarf covers the mouth area of his face.

Theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsKEmDbR6FQ

Personality: Whenever people are around him, he gives off an ominous feeling of dread that many others would immediately misjudge him as cruel and heartless. He is the middle in between. When doing his work, he is merciless and does not hesitate to kill, but when the battle gets tough for him, he retreats or resort to dirty fighting to win. When talking normally, he sounds almost emotionless, due to his training of suppressing his emotions. He is stoic and aloof, making him the odd one out. He shows a poker like face all the time when talking. He rarely talks though. He would serve anyone who asked, even when not tasked by the Dark Brotherhood. He enjoys anything simple in life such as music and art. He fears the ‘nothingness’ of death or nada. When under pressure, he never shows his uneasiness, instead his grace. He doesn’t believe in things that are made to be believed yet with no proof such as the Divines. He does not like to talk about emotions or his achievements.

He has been getting the outbreak of cuts and bruises and swellings around his torso area since meeting Morganayn.

Likes: Simple things in life.

Dislikes: People who don’t mind their own business, snow, fur, spiders, children, and ‘nothingness’ of death.

Social Background/Backstory: He is born into a clan of wealthy merchants who travelled all over the world to make money. He was never loved by his parents, rather they only saw him as a treasure of the family. Bored of his life, he runs away, wanting to do something better than travelling around the world and make senseless greed. He wanted to go through the Alik’r Desert alone rather than with anyone, and so he did. He almost died just travelling the barren wasteland at the age of 10. Not known by everyone, he found a dying Redguard with full of injuries. Azzanadra, hungry as he is, could not resist the call of hunger and pounced himself on the man, devouring his flesh in an hour. All Azzanadra heard was screaming of agonizing pain, as he fell to sleep. He was saved by a group of assassins called the Dark Brotherhood. Seeing him murder without discretion, they offered him to join their ranks. Seeing this as another opportunity to have some fun, he agreed, though they gave him another murderous task, which he did without any remorse.

10 years passed since that day and Azzanadra had attained the rank of Executioner. At that time he killed a traitor: a Silencer, a high ranked member of the Dark Brotherhood. But it came with no easy feat as he barely managed to win against the agile vampire. Before the vampire died, he cast a curse upon Azzanadra, making his skin turn dark and cause him pain whenever he is in the sunlight. He needed a hood whenever travelling in the sunlight, so the cloth covers his skin from shrivelling. He was given the Bow of Woe as a reward. At some point in 5 years, becoming 25 years old, he picked up an Akaviri blade and had blacksmiths in Hammerfell strengthen it due to him saying, “It’s so thin that it can break from smashing it upon a piece of marble.”

At age 25, he was going to be Silencer only if he would kill one more target: a boy of a noble family. He followed the commands of the Listener. He disguised himself as a bodyguard for the boy. The boy himself was talking to him and he was talking back to him. 3 years later, he started to think of the boy as his son. But now was the time to kill him since he gained the trust of the boy. But he could not bring himself to kill him. First time. First time ever that he hesitated. He broke down into tears in front of the child. The child asked what was wrong. He told him,

“I lied to you.”

“What?”

“I was sent by the Dark Brotherhood to kill you.”

The boy was silent when he heard that. Azzanadra, not wanting to kill him, started to speak until he was silenced by the boy,

“Kill me then.”

“!” His face turned into shock at what the boy commanded him to do.

“It’s alright. I command you to kill me.”

“Why?!”

“Because I don’t want you to be in trouble if you disobey them. I want you to live happily. And it’s alright; I was going to die anyway.” The boy explained about his rare illness that was going to take his life next year.

“So it would be easier for me. Please, do it. And I love you, Azzanadra. You were my first friend.” The boy smiled to him, assuring him that it was fine to kill him. Azzanadra broke out tears again as he regretfully did as he was told. He left real quickly, leaving no trace that he was there. All he felt now was sorrow and it would continue on. He declined the Silencer rank, as it makes him remember too much of the boy. At age 30, he wanders Tamriel, giving his services to others and answering the call of the Dark Brotherhood. He had begun using the name Ahad after the murder of the boy and sunk to the shadows, no longer wanting to be known. Also he had been killing Dark Brotherhood members in the shadows to bring an end to the organization.

Sometime, 4 years ago, he had entered an Oblivion plane called Coldharbour. He had met with Molag Bal and the Daedric Prince sucked out his soul but he managed to escape with his body. He does not know he has immortality.

He has a black dog called Masyaf who he bought from a Dunmer who was selling dogs on the deserts of the Alik'r.

He seems to have feelings for a Altmer/Bosmer woman called Danaris, but doesn't show it.

After the events of the Vorago Incident, he has amnesia and does not remember anyone he had met, also the Dark Brotherhood and the Morag Tong believe that he has died.

After the Battle for the Imperial City, he had retired from the assassin life and decided to become a merchant but still kept his armor and weapon to protect himself, which made him somewhat a mix of mercenary and merchant.

Best Memory: Spending every time of his life with the boy noble, who he is suppose to kill.

Worst Memory: Killing his assassination target, a child, who he grew fond of, of a powerful noble, and eating a dying Redguard in the heart of the Alik’r Desert.

Skills: He is excellent at Swordplay and Archery, but not Illusion, he's only good at Illusion (knowing around 3 Magics of it: Invisibility which is his favourite, Muffle, and Frenzy.) He is skilled at his profession of murder. He seems to have a skill at bargaining. He's fast on his feet and quick at slashing which are essential for assassins. He has some knowledge of traps and poisons.

Weaknesses: He often hesitates to kill someone that is either innocent and not an evildoer, someone who is begging for their life, and when fighting children he could not bring to hurt them due to the Boy he loved dearly. He also has zero tolerance for the sun, so one can take an advantage of him if they manage to expose any part of his skin. His attacks lack the knockback in them and he often goes for lacerations and speed, but still enough strength to last. He doesn't do well against warriors who use pure strength as it will overwhelm him. He's okay against mages, but he's seems to be weaker against fire, due to the vampire that placed the curse on him.

Weapons: He carries the Bow of Woe made out of eldritch materials (mainly Daedric), given to him after assassinating a high ranked traitor of the Dark Brotherhood. He is never seen without it and he always carries it with him at times. He carries on his back what appeared to be arrows made out of hardened steel, and he often poisons them to make the target easily killable (the poison just weakens them, it never kills). Instead of a dagger like assassins and murderers would wield, he wields a sword sheathed on his hip. It’s rather odd looking as it is long, slender, curved, sharp, and foreign. He claimed that he picked it up from a ‘dead’ Akavir. He had one of the blacksmiths in Hammerfell to increase its durability when fighting in melee. He also has some traps at his disposal in 'special cases'.

Challenges for the Character:
- Overcoming his guilt of killing a loved one and whether or not will he find someone precious to him again.

- Admitting himself to loving a certain Bosmer, as he keeps on denying it.

Religious Views: He prays to neither deity, believing that they will not help and instead views the whole world is left to wither and writhe underneath the sea of chaos. However, due to the Dark Brotherhood tenets, he is forced to worship Sithis when around his Dark Siblings.

Politics Views: He always viewed the Aldmeri Dominion as a threat to his kin, and he viewed the Ebonheart Pact as a futile alliance, as the all three races of that alliance are uneasy about each other.

This is my first attempt to create a “Code Hero” because I liked the characteristics of it, so I decided to use this ‘Hero’. Anyways I hope to Rp with y’all. (And yes I know his name comes from a Runescape character but couldn’t resist using it since it’s close to an Arabic and Egyptian name, mainly Egyptian.)

PS: I would have drawn an artist’s view of Azzanadra but I don’t have time to draw due to exams. Sorry.

PPS: I will be constantly updating his story during the RP's so we can know what he is.

One thing to note, the presence of the gods in Tamriel is not ambiguous: there is plenty of proof. One example would be the shrines dedicated to the divines, prayer at which cures diseases. Another is perhaps the destruction of Gliverdale by Molag Bal. Not to mention the events of 2E 578, the arcane explosion and subsequent appearance of Demora and Dark Anchors.

Those aren't really proof. Those are abstract proof not concrete. In order for him to believe that there is a god, one has to appear before Azzanadra. And yes he believes in all destruction that he knows the Daedra exist. He's a existentialist, meaning that he believes the world is left to writhe and wither in the sea of chaos, and one must adapt to the chaos. Also he somewhat knows that there is some high power out there but he doesn't believe that they will intervene, rather they would just look on.

I'm saying that there is proof that Gods do exist but look at it from an existentialist's view and you will know why he doesn't believe in them despite there is proof that they are here. If you read Ernest Hemingway's short stories and understand his Code Hero archetype which he created, then you will know why Azzanadra does not believe in them nor does he believe that they will help the world in its dire need.

What do you mean when you say 'believe in them'? Because sometimes it seems like you mean adhering to the teachings of the god, and sometimes it seems like you're talking about existence of the deities itself.

Oops wrong wording there, what I meant to say that he views it this way: They exist yet they do not exist. Meaning that he knows they are real but that doesn't mean that they would not help the world. And it also means that he doesn't believe in their teachings at the same time, that was I was suppose to say. Sorry, existentialism is really some heavy stuff and I'm still learning about it...

No, I get you, just a tiny bit confused with the wording. I have a character with a not dissimilar outlook. Their existence has no practical relevance to his life.

Anyhow, Ahad seems like a good character. I'm not sure if the Dark Brotherhood will be in game or not, but it would be good if it were.
