The Rules

Commander Amarus stared out south to the top of the hill at the besieging camp of the Aldmeri Dominion from on top of the inner keep's ramparts. Then he turned west to look at the Daggerfall Covenant's camp by the river. But what was worse was the fact that Scouts had reported that the Ebonheart Pact were camping in the forest to the North, waiting for an ideal moment to strike. He could hear the hammer blows against metal, blades being sharpened. Any day now the attack would come, and Amarus didn't know if he could stop it. The outer walls had fallen and the Imperials didn't have the time to rebuild them. The garrison was limited and no aid was coming. Virtutis wasn't a strategical fort for the Imperials. In fact, the only reason Amarus could see for the factions vying over it was to cause damage to each other. The only thing stopping it was the threat the three factions presented to each other.

A movement from the river. Amarus peered. A group of Bretons were relaxing by the river banks, eating and talking. Amarus looked closer. And then he realised. Dozens of Argonians surged from the water, slaughtering the Bretons. A roar from the trees as a force of Nord and Dunmer charged toward the keep. Naturally they thought they could deal with the imperials if they distracted the Covenant forces. And no doubt they could have. But they didn't count on the Aldmeri Dominion.
A force of Altmer, Bosmer and Khajiit met the Pact head on in the ruins of the outer walls. A melee erupted around the walls. To the west, the Argonians were being pushed back towards the keep by the Covenant.
Amarus was dimly aware of a voice asking him on what the Imperials should do. He just shook his head and let them fight. No point in wasting Imperial lives when others are willing to do the job...

Manjoro pulls his bloody spear out of the now dead Breton. Him and his fellow argonians had just ambushed a few dozen bretons. The battle had begun.

The argonian could feel the adrenaline run through his body, the blood pumping through his veins. Nothing better than fighting, Manjoro grinned to himself. It was what he had came for. Talk of battle, loot, plundering and rape had reached Black Marsh and Manjoro had answered it's call. Now here he was in Cyrodiil, on the battlefield. Fighting. It was what he was made for.

They moved further and Manjoro kept his eyes open for his next opponent!

Itheralon and his squad of Altmer battle mages remain on the outskirts of the battle. They were in no rush to join in and would wait for the right time to strike at the forces of the Pact, which was as of now their main concern. Itheralon had been asked by the Officers to focus his efforts against the Ebonheart Pact. A task which he was happy to undertake.

'' Master Itheralon, shall we proceed?'' The Fire Mage Alsaron asked nervously and looked out over the battlefield. He didn't want to admit to his commander that he was so nervous that he was about to puke but he couldn't shake the feeling that he already knew.

'' We are to await with our attack until the forces of the wretched scums of the Ebonheart have pushed forward. However, we shall remain ready if said opportunity presents itself. Inform the others that they shall say their prayers and prepare.'' Itheralon replied with his back still facing the younger Alsaron. The younger Altmer bowed and hurried off to rally his comrades.

Meanwhile the Bretons managed to retaliate the argonian ambush. The remaining "Saxhleel" started to flee back north, to the pact's camp. The Bretons didn't follow them, they were afraid of a potential another ambush. Instead, they just looked satisfied at the running Argonians. At the same time, Manjoro deadchecked the last Breton lying on the ground at the northern edge of the camp.
"Where is everyone?" He said.
He and his five remained fellows looked around. They got really far from the spot where they came out of the water. Then suddenly Manjoro realized their situation.

(OOC: Beg to differ, first of all the name is Manjoro with a "j" and not a "l" second of all this is qualified as meta-gaming. With one post you decide the whole movement of 1/3 of the EPs army. Third of all you are controlling my character in an unjustified way. You may only partly control me if you roll high on the dice.)

Fears-no-Fire teared her mace out of the Bretons chest. Stertorously he fell to the ground.

"Manjoro! Leave some of them for me!"

Her fellow Argonian ran savagely into the group of Bretons. Fear-no-Fire knew this battle was far too easy. An arrow bounced from her chest armor plate. Couldn´t they see she was well secured? However, these ones were no enemies for her. It was a tough battle though for the Argonians behind her. This was not the reason why she entered the Ebonheart Pact´s army. She wanted to do good, not kill this poor bastards.

"Is this all you got?"

(OOC: 1: sorry about that, i edited it, now it should be fine. 2: i didnt decide any fate, according to Iogairn these argonians were just desctractions, and i dont think they send all their argonian soldiers for a mere distraction. the served their porpuse, the were to expend for greater goods, but im sorry if you tought differently. 3: Iogairn wrote the argonian forces were pushed back to west, and you wrote that a group of argoinian trapped a group of bretons. i just wanted to explain how it could happen, i didnt mean to control you character, i could have picked an argonian from Manjoros group, im sorry.)

"Hah! You'll have to be swift to keep up with me Fears-no-fire!"

Manjoro saw that his fellow argonians were being pushed back to the keep and he too slowly retreated fighting off anyone from the covenant who dared to come close.

Rathyr stepped aside, allowing young Alsaron to move past him as he walked towards commander Itheralon.

"Today will test many." Rathyr said to Itheralon in an eerily calm tone as he recalled his own first battle. The spellsword stood proudly next to his commander. "I will have your back, as always, my friend." he added. "But the others may need some words of... encouragement." he smiled lightly with a glance back at the younger members of their company.

(OOC: I'll likely only stick to the one character for the sake of keeping things simpler for all parties involved.)

*Jolgurd- Jolgurd was at the forfront of the EP lines charging the Impereal stronghold, once they reached the breach Out of no where Bosmer archers appeared on the ruined walls, and a unit of mix altmer and Khajiit soldiers appeard, ambushing the EP charge, "Ambush" Jolgurd shouted to his comrades. Quickly dispatching the first Altmer soldier, Jolgurd grabs hold of the falling corpse and uses it as a sheild agianst the incoming volly of arrows....

*Julian ReNault- Under the cover of darkness Julian and his small aquad of rangers, started scouting South, Looking for any un-defended or weak points in the wall. To his surprise they came across a camp belonging to the AD. Slowly 2 by 2 the squad split up to take a look through the camp. Shouting from the walls gave Julian the impreasion that the AD were already Assulting the keep. As Julian turned the corner, He came face to face with A khajiit, using the short blade in his hands he thrusts out at the cat, only to be blooked. He then tackles the cat down, and his comrade, quickly kills the cat. rallying with the rest of the squad, he gives the order "gather any intell we can find, keep it silent, our next rally point is back in the wood", with that the squad disapers......
note: julian is un-aware of the EP encampment yet or the assult on the DC camp

Edit: I'm just going to play with two instead of three...

Itheralon turned around to face the spellsword who had adressed him. Rathyr was a true warrior of the Dominion and he was proud to have such a formidable man at his side.

'' They are soldiers of the Aldmeri Dominion. They shall not fear death and they shall not retreat or they will be killed. There is no need to give them false hope Rathyr. I suggest you ready yourself, we move out in a matter of minutes.'' He said, his voice filled with the arrogance that came with a man of his power and rank.

Rathyr took a deep breath and spoke with a coy smile. "They're you're men, commander." he pulled his blade from it's sheath on his back. Itheralon's arrogance had always flared when it came to matters of warfare.

It was something many understood to be confidence. As Rathyr had fought many times beside the Altmer, he knew Itheralon to always have been so arrogant... but also always correct. The commander had not failed or misled his troops yet. Rathyr told himself this time would be no different.

"On your word." he spoke softly as his mind and body prepared to deliver death.

Itheralon smiled dryly and removed his large, dark green cloak from himself and stood there in his glistening elven crafted armor. He cracked his knuckles and let out a few sparks from the tips of his fingers.

'' I wish for you to take your men and advance against the Ebonheart's forces posted by the creek and secure a rallying point for the rest of our forces. I trust that you will show no mercy to the enemy.'' He said and put his hand on the spellsword's shoulder and smiled. It was not common for the cold Itheralon to smile, especially when it came to matters of war. Yet he had developed a close friendship with the Soldier, as close as someone like Itheralon could form.

'' I will take my squad of Battle Mages and cross the creek further down.'' His smile was replaced by the same cold expression that every soldier under his command knew so well.
