I second this, I enjoyed DK Archer. You'l have rock fist (melee range stun with morph into long range stun) molten weapons for extra melee damage, searing strike (nice melee ranged burst + dot)Deathtalons if needed(melee ranged root).

Had no trouble ripping through mob packs as DKArcher

It depends on what kind of archer you want to be! If you're looking for something more traditional, I think a sneaky nightblade archer would be neat to stalk your prey in the shadows and pick them out from afar. I personally want to try rolling a templar archer at some point, I think an archer healer would be so cool *_* you could heal your allies from the edges of the battlefield while still helping to snipe any straggling enemies!

Sorc synergizes with bow pretty well. You can get a pet for tanking and an absorb shield for you and your pet along with decent CC to keep the enemy at bay. There's also helpful passives, increase crit chance and so on. All up to how you wanna play though :)

If you really think about it, sorc might be really good as an archer. You have ranged abilities tht use both magicka and stamina so you can fire off big attacks almost continuously.

No matter how you look at it; The Nightblade remains superior choice. With allocations such as 14 HP / 30 STA / 5 MA and Mark Target, your physical damage is by far the most superior bow-damage available. No other class can cut through the enemy armor like paper. You don't have to sneak, even with 7 pieces of Medium Armor.

To be honest, if you're going PvP, DK+Heavy Armor+Bow+Dual Wield Switch = a tanky dps or sustain. But then, I played a sorcerer in beta so I don't really know very much about the other classes.

I was looking at DK, and the Earthen Heart skill line could be used to great effect for an archer. I tried a Templarcher approach in beta and found that I had gimped myself.. without any cc abilities. A DK archer, utilizing the Earthen Heart CC abilities, might just be what the apothecary ordered...

I'm going to agree with Nehemia, I feel like the best bet for archery would be the Nightblades

Hmm are we talking PvP, PvE or..?

Personally, I'd be backing whichever build allows for the best mitigation while maintaining pressure in PvP while max damage for PvE.

Sorcerer dark magic spec for maximum CC. They have so many CC abilities plus the ultimate which is arguably the strongest (AOE dispel and silence) which completely blanks the enemies. If you place the dispel at your feet they have to fight you silenced or at range, meanwhile your CC will keep them away from you the majority of the time anyways. In group fights the AOE silence/dispel is OP. Also since the abilities are for the CC you dont have to worry about boosting mana to an extreme and you can just focus on your stamina for max bow damage.

For the race I would suggest a Wood Elf since one of there skill lines is Archery as for the class I would say it would have to depend on what you want as a class.

Any stamina build suits bow.
